Good purchase
28 January 2025 by Vince C
I've worn it a few times & have been very happy with the warmth & even wearing it without the heat on gives a good level of comfort which makes all the difference in cold weather riding.
Yet to test fully on a long ride to see how long the battery maintains the heat at the different settings but at present very happy with my purchase.

Game changer
05 January 2025 by Anthony M
I wore this for the 1st time Yesterday on a 2hr ride when I set off my temperature gauge red 1"c, I set the jacket to high, after 15 minutes I had to stop and lower it too medium as I was too hot, this jacket is the difference between going out in really cold temperatures and not going out at all.

Lovely warm/hot top

Good well made top, heats up quickly, normally wear on low setting and high setting is very hot!
Nice and flexible, does not restrict and it's wind proof and quite warm with out the heating being turned on

Warm enough for UK.
02 January 2025 by Jon B
Bought mostly to extend commuting season (only 11 miles) in comfort.
Used it on a couple of longer rides over Xmas 160 & 240 miles. 7-8 C & damp on shorter ride. Had thin non thermal base layer under it and windstopper thin layer over it to 'trap' heat and summer, well ventilate jacket.
Started off with it off, after 25 miles temp dropped a degree and I was feeling chill. Set it to lowest temp for rest of journey. Didn't feel heat, rather just not cold.
Longer journey 10C same combo, on low from start and after 30 miles I was too warm (mix of A37, A303, M5, A38 making good progress).
I suspect self preservation will kick in before temp drops low enough to need highest setting.
For reference I tend not to feel cold (spent 20 years as kayak white water coach. Winters that could require cracking ice to get on river, whilst wearing dry suit with Marino base layer and bare hands.).
Only negative is the wires, not so much the heating ones but all the connection ones. Appreciate others may have gloves trousers and socks to integrate but shame they are so bulky for the 'just the jacket' people. To be fair didn't notice cables once riding.

Performance/quality/price ratio could be better
01 January 2025 by Rafael C
I had this returned once as the left hand side inner cables stoped working. KEIS repaired it and now working fine. But this happened after couple of uses. So I'm not packed with confidence on the quality …
Also, it has three heating settings; 1 a is useless; 2 - kinda does something; 3 - is really good.
All that being said, this jacket is part of the ecosystem where they provide socks, pants and gloves (already have those). So I am considering getting the socks and pants too.
Iverall, I think it's a good product but wimould like it slightly cheaper given the issue I've had.
Performance/quality/price ratio could be better.

Very impressed
23 December 2024 by David F
This was my first foray into heated equipment, and I have to say I'm very impressed.
After an initial problem with a faulty controller, (which was swiftly resolved by the Sportsbikeshop staff in Preston) I went out for a ride in the cold.
The jacket is comfortable, and a quality piece of kit, even on the medium heat setting, I was as warm as toast for the duration of the ride and I only had a base layer under my Rukka jacket.
Very impressed would definitely recommend it!

Game changer for winter riding
22 December 2024 by Will
Finally decided to splash out on heated gear to prolong my riding season and after 20+ years of winter riding age is catching up with me.
This product along with the heated gloves is awesome! Worth every hard earned penny. And you do have to spend a few of them to get these.
However:
Quality 10/10 nuff said on that. From the fancy box to the item it's self top notch.
Ease of use:. If I would have read the instructions which clearly tell you how to plug in where to find the right connectors and what fuse to use when using a selection of heated items together so it work it would be a 10... Myself and ability to cause a family argument as I refuse to read instructions 10/10.
How hot does it get.... Hot enough that you can get uncomfortable and then lower the heat to stop feeling like your cooking yourself alive.
Fit wise. I got the xl. 16st bit of a gut T Rex arms and there is room to move and it's not tight. Arms are slightly long but that is something I find with all garments.
Would I buy again... Too right. And the gloves. Gamechanger

Good but not as good as my old one.

The jacket I bought 5 years ago of the same make was much better. Would not buy this one again. Quite thin and any heat generated is quickly lost.

Strapping pure happiness to your body.
01 December 2024 by Filip S
TL;DR: Stop overthinking it and buy this jacket right now. Seriously, what are you waiting for?
I used to think I was tough. Winter rides on the bike meant layering up like a Michelin Man, relying on heated grips, decent gloves, and the "all-season" Oxford jacket that, let's be honest, is maybe a three-season jacket at best. Riding in anything below 7°C? Forget about it—I'd be frozen solid before I could say, "Why did I think this was a good idea?"
But this year, I decided to stop suffering like a tragic hero in a bad weather-themed Shakespearean drama. Enter the Keis Heated Jacket J601RP. Spoiler alert: it's like strapping pure happiness to your body.
After hooking it up to the bike's battery (surprisingly easy—no engineering degree required), I went out for a spin. The temperature? A brisk-but-not-too-bad 8-12°C in North Wales. Normally, I'd start shivering 20 minutes into the ride, and by the hour mark, I'd be questioning all my life choices. Not this time. I clocked 120 miles with a grin that could melt snowdrifts.
The jacket has three settings—High, Medium, and Low. I naively started with High, because why not, right? Turns out, High is less "snuggly warmth" and more "Satan's sauna." Medium was also a bit much for this weather. But Low? Oh, Low was like being gently hugged by a warm, affectionate cloud.
The heated panels on the arms and chest made me feel like I was basking in the sun on a tropical beach. My back? It was as if a friendly, invisible pillion was giving me a warm cuddle. Yes, I'm aware that sounds odd, but if this jacket can give me feelings of comfort that verge on romantic, I'm not going to argue.
Why didn't I get one of these earlier? Was I trying to prove something? Because trust me, no one's handing out medals for freezing your butt off on a motorbike.
Bottom line: the Keis Heated Jacket isn't just a piece of gear—it's a revelation. If you're even slightly tempted, stop hesitating and click "Buy Now." Future you, basking in glorious warmth, will thank you.

Game changer

Bought at the start of the cold weather, 2 degrees and I'm still warm. The ultra flex is great under your existing jacket and because it hugs your core you stay warm. The construction of the jacket is very good and better than other brands out there. Definitely worth the money.

Worth every Penny
23 November 2024 by Robert W
A brilliant piece of kit, definitely listen to the advice about going one size smaller. I purchased a large and I sort of question whether I could've got away with a medium. I am 6 foot two and 95 kg. Slightly confusing information depending on where you read with regards to using it with a battery. I use it with one of their own batteries and seems to work fine but I only keep it on low or medium as I don't want to risk risk frying the battery really nice that the colour is warm. The thumb holes are useful for the sleeves not rolling up when you put garments over the topbut they are uncomfortable onto your gloves. So I've taken to remove my thumbs from them before I put my gloves on.

OK
23 November 2024 by Toby
Arms get very hot but body areas not so much. The fit is wierd, I needed a size smaller yet the body is still quite lose which might be why the body isn't as warm. The fabric isn't at all wind proof so if you're ever walking without your outer jacket it feels cold. The collar is massive, which makes the tallness of it bearable, but I'm not aware that it is heated. The controller pocket isn't high enough so with the jacket tucked into riding trousers it is awkwardly positioned so the controller exists between your outer jacket and trousers.
There are lots of things that aren't right with this jacket, but I can comfortably ride for and hour at 0C with it on.

A perfect fit
15 November 2024 by Mike
The benefit of visiting the shop was I was able to experience the alternative jackets and their fit. The fit and flexibility of this jacket was in a class of its own with no restrictions on my movements at all, particularly around the shoulders. Choose a close fit. The downside is that it is designed more so for bike use and not so for walking the dog on a frosty morning which would have been an added benefit. There are other Keis jackets which would be more suited.
Thanks to the staff at Birmingham for their help and advice.

Toasty

Used jacket for a 100 mile round trip recently. In 7 degree temperature. On the lowest setting it felt comfortably warm. However, on the way home, the inline fuse blew. As I could not get a replacement I will have to wait for my next journey to test again.

Problem with reviews is you only write them when the product is brand new. Keis is a trusted name. Bought cheap amazon electric gloves last year and they were a game changer. Cheap jackets were almost as much as this so I bought the Rolls Royce. Fits on the bike easy. Works now all I am waiting for is poor weather.

Description
└Due to the elasticated side panels, you may find you may experience a snug fit. A snug fit provides the most efficient transfer of heat from the heated jacket, through your required underlayer (e.g. long sleeved t-shirt), to your upper body.
Made to sit between a base-layer and outer jacket, the UltraFlex is a thinner, lighter alternative to the Keis J501RP and J505RP heated jackets. As a mid-layer, the UltraFlex features a unique 4-way stretch material, for optimal fit without compromising on movement, and micro carbon fibre heated panels within the chest, back, sleeves and collar areas.
Technical
The UltraFlex is a thinner, more lightweight version of the J505, using micro carbon and far infrared tech across the chest, back and collar. With an integrated battery pocket, the UltraFlex can be used with the 5000mAh Keis battery, or powered directly by your bike. With a microsuede lining, the UltraFlex remains hot, but breathable, and a lowered back, reducing the risk of the jacket riding up during your journeys. As a mid-layer, the UltraFlex also features thumb holsters to make gearing up quicker and more efficient.
Interconnected
Interconnected design enables multiple heated garments to link together, allowing operation from a single power source for seamless warmth and convenience.
