GoPro USB Pass Through Door Hero11 Black Mini

This is a bit of an odd one - the literature for this suggests that you can power your camera while you record: "power your camera through extra long shooting sessions". Not the fault of SBS, but this simply isn't true. It WILL charge your camera's battery (as you'd expect), but it WON'T let you charge and record at the same time. GoPros don't do that, and they don't tell you that they don't do that. It's dumb, given the questionable battery life, but there you are.
Having said that, I use this so that I can charge my camera while I ride, and it IS very useful for that (without it, the alternative would be to leave the door open to the elements, and also run the risk of losing the SD card). I'm not sure just how much rain it would prevent from getting in, though. The doors (this one and the std one) are rubber sealed, but this is just a slot where the USB cable goes. It works well for all that, and it's a tight enough fit, but not rubber sealed. So, when it chucks it down, I'll be putting the camera away while I put on waterproofs.
