Great quality lights. Nice and bright and they look good on the bike too. However I had to buy different mounting brackets to be able to fit them. Instructions say to use a 10mm socket to tighten them up. However trying to find a small enough socket to actually fit in the hole where the nut is was impossible!!!! If it had been 8mm I'd of been ok. Great service by sportsbikeshop as always ?
I've fitted these to the lower bars on my 2021 V Strom 1050XT. I've already noticed a considerable difference in driver behaviour. Filtering down the motorway is like Moses parting the Sea. You tend to notice people notice you. Other positives are that they are e marked so you won't have any issues using them in Europe like the cheap ali express versions. I'd say the negatives are the wiring diagram isn't great and the wiring loom is VERY bulky.
Usual top service from SBS. I have not had the opportunity to install these lights onto my bike yet so cannot pass comment on their output. I am however impressed with the kit that is supplied and the quality feel of the lights. I expect them to be a good addition to my bike.
Fitted to a Moto Guzzi V85. Installation was relatively straightforward, light pods are fixed to the engine protection bars with a very neat clamp assembly. (supplied rubber grommets allow fitment to 22/25/28mm diameter bars). My only criticism is that the supplied cables could do with being longer. If you intend to fit the switch to the handlebars, you will definitely need to buy the Oxford switch extension lead, SBS sell these, but it's an extra £15. No cable ties are supplied either, hardly a deal breaker but you would think they'd come supplied.
I bought these primarily as daytime running lights and for such a compact light pod, the light they put out is really impressive. Riding on unlit rural roads, the flood pattern of the beam makes a noticeable difference lighting the road ahead. Just make sure to adjust the light pods so you're not dazzling oncoming traffic (yes, they really are that bright!).
