The Michelin Commander III tyre is designed to go the distance with enhanced wet grip and longevity that exceeds its predecessor thanks to improved tread compounds. Wet oriented without wear compromise with 100% silica rubber compound on the front and rear tyre for better wet grip and more safety. The distinctive tread patterns and patented premium touch technology sidewall designs of the Michelin Commander III tyre line enhance the styling of V-Twin motorcycles. The mould profile optimises the contact patch for a better homogenous pressure on the ground, regular wear and wet adhesion, even when curving. The Michelin Commander III tyre is designed to deliver even more unmatched durability than the Michelin Commander II tyre. To ensure the best level of performance and safety, Michelin ranges are developed based on a uniform fitting to the front and rear. It is therefore recommended that different ranges are not mixed on the same motorcycle. If different generations are mixed, it is advisable to fit the Michelin Commander III to the front wheel. Michelin advises respecting the maximum load recommended by the bike manufacturer. If the vehicle is overloaded (in reference to the manufacturer recommendations), tyre failure and loss of control of the vehicle can happen.
Based in Clermont-Ferrand, France, Michelin have been involved in the manufacturing of motorbike tyres for nearly 100 years. Founded by two brothers, Andre and Edouard Michelin back in 1889, the company now claims to be the largest tyre manufacturer in the world. The European arm of Michelin alone has over 63,000 employees, heading up the UK operation of bike tyres from its base in Stoke on Trent. Sporting a history littered with industry firsts, including the introduction of radial motorcycle tyres to MotoGP in 1989, Michelin continue to develop new technologies via the race track that are applied directly to their range of road bike tyres. We always try to keep every model of Michelin motorcycle tyre in stock, and if you order before 3pm, they'll be with you the next day!
