Shark Skwal i3 - Linik Matt Black / Anthracite

My current Shark helmet was going on 10 years old so decided to buy a latest generation helmet. Opted for the Shwal i3 as was on offer. Looks well. Inner sun visor covers more of your vision and is less darker than my last which inappreciate. The helmet is physically larger than my last helmet which I presume is down to modern safety standards. Lights are a nice feature and think they work. All in all a nice helmet.
My only critism is DPD as their sloppy couriers detract from SBS's excellent customer service.

I have a fairly large long (front to back) head and often find helmets but pressure on front/back of head. This Shark is perfect, comfortable all round. Really like the styling and the lights look coo as well and adding a bit of safety as we approach the dark winter nights. The visor which moves in increments is very useful and this is quieter than my Arai. very pleased.

This is my third Shark. But this one is just sensational. It's very comfortable. The lighting system works without discharges. I highly recommend this product. I will add that I bought the helmet in a very nice promotion. Sportsbikeshop is the best shop in England.

As other reviews have said it fits quite tight on first wear, but very quickly shapes to the head. I had a Shark helmet before, I purchased the same size for the Skwal i3 and the fit is now perfect.

Reasonably quiet at speed, very clear visor with the best sun visor I have used so far.

Vents are not great, but the visor is easy to click open just a tiny amount enough to let some air in.

The lights are very bright, definitely enough to be seen and actually bright enough to illuminate my dashboard somewhat when riding in pitch black night.

For the around £200 mark that it often sits at I am very happy with it.

As a general helmet it is fantastic, very comfortable, while a decent style. The drop down visor takes a while to get used to...but once you are it's great.
The lights feature overall is absolutely brilliant. Biggest drawback is if raining to hard, lights don't work (in my experience).

Initially quite tight, I am just on the cusp of the next size up. A chat with a very patient member of SBS reassured me. I stuck with the size ordered and things are easing nicely. A comfortable, for me, helmet. Not as noisy as some suggested. Good all round vision with a visor that stays wherever it's put, no sudden snap shut at speed. The drop down sun visor is excellent; drops down further than my previous helmet. Ventilation could be better and when deploying the sun visor it's easy to shut the top vent. Not helpful. I wear glasses which the design of the Skwal copes with very well. I haven't been out after dark since to check the effectiveness of the LED's but I'm sure they'll make a difference.The brake light is a reassuring bonus feature.

Build quality is very good especially at the lower price point vs other helmets. The lights are bright enough and are a great additional feature. The fit is good and very comfortable. Only downside is that windnoise could be better. The fact that you can comfortably fit glasses into the space provided and still make use of the inner sun visor is also a great point.

Really nice stylish lid, love the light package especially for night rides on b roads, easy to remove and install visor. Not noisy at speed either

Good helmet, easy to fit intercom. Only downside quite noisy when around the 70mph mark, even with ear plugs. Otherwise really happy.

love the helmet its comfy feels nice to wear, downside is the hole for the speakers is covered with some padding that you cant remove so sound is really quite. and the lights even tho turned off randomnly flashs even when not using the helmet.

Smooth airflow over the helmet with less drag than my Shoei GT Air but the ventilation could be better.
I couldn't tell if the vents were open or closed, and no rear vents. Can't ask for it all!
The light system is great. Easy to use by just clicking over and over for different modes.
Sun visor covers my entire vision and the visor itself is nice and wide.
Visor stays in place when partially opened but makes a loud whistle when fully open, even at low speed.

The unique thing about this helmet is the lights. They really do work, and greatly increase your visibility. Pros include the brake light coming on under engine breaking when the bikes lights wouldn't, great safety feature. The back of your head is often a far more visible place as well.

Apart from that, it's a great helmet in the usual ways. Comfortable, light enough, looks good, decent safety credentials.

I really like the idea of lights in a helmet. Unfortunately the brake light did not work properly. But again sportbikeshop excellent service replaced the helmet within a couple of days cannot recommend this company enough.
