I have the black one. I like the style and the colour! The size I have fits but I find the cheek pads a bit restrictive , they do appear to be softening.
Comfortable and with room for glasses - if you're after these two attributes then this is the helmet for you. As a new rider, and my first helmet, I cannot draw parallels to other helmets or rank it. The build quality is good and comes well packaged. The only downside is that it is fitted with a D ring type securing system.
All helmets are supplied with a clear visor as standard
The G07X helmet from Garibaldi, is a stunning retro-styled full-face helmet, harking back to the shape and design of the 70's, but with all the features and protection you'd expect from any modern helmet. It is one of the first retro style full face helmets to be certified to the ECE R22.06 standard for motorcycle helmet safety. Above the previous ECE R22.05 standard, the new standard gains additional impact test points, predominantly to the sides of the helmet, and an oblique helmet rotation test. These are designed to improve the levels of safety that Garibaldi expect from their helmets and prevent serious head or brain injuries if ever an accident occurs.
The G07X comes in two shell sizes, to ensure as lower helmet profile as possible throughout the size range, and is made from composite fibreglass. It is Pinlock ready for an optional P70 Pinlock, with an anti-scratch visor, which for a retro style helmet has some wind and water sealing thanks to its edged lip and rubber seal seat on the shell. The visor also has a locking block to the chin bar, and is free of any ratchet for opening, enabling it to be left open in any position that suits. A hypoallergenic headlining, designed to be spectacles friendly, with removable and washable contoured cheek pads, and pocket recesses for communications speakers.
Garibaldi has been manufacturing garments, gloves and accessories for motorcyclists since 1972. It started its own business into the spare-part car market under the brand name of Pedro Guillamet, importing the most representative Italian brands. At a second stage Garibaldi's founders, Josep Maria Guillamet and Isabel Garibaldi, drifted their main product business to enter the motorbike market, which had huge potential, and set up the company Guillamet Garibaldi. In 1975, they changed its name to Garibaldi and launched the Internazionale jacket, which represented a first great hit. The second bestseller arrived later with the so-called Original, the first Spanish wax jacket for motorcyclists. In the 80s Garibaldi focused on the handmade competition leather suits and signed up the best riders of that time such as Ricardo Tormo, Sito Pons, Aspar, Alex Crivillé, Alex Barros, Carlos Checa, Sete Gibernau, Toni Elias, Dani Pedrosa, Jordi Tarrés, Marc Colomer, Carlos Mas, David Checa, B. Grau and P.Voltà among others. Most of them became World Champions, with Garibaldi :18 World Champion titles are the final result of this successful period. In those early times the company mainly produced rider leather suits and greasing garments in its workshop in Vilanova del Camí (Igualada) and also became the exclusive distributor in Spain for the Italian helmet manufacturer Nolan Group. This lifelong relationship lasted until late 2019, when it was time to let go and build up an own range of helmets on the basis of this long-lasting experience.
