Klim Krios - Gloss White

My pal bought the Krios a few years back and has raved about it since but I bought the Nishua Carbon helmet and told anyone who would listen that it was the same helmet, just with a different name on it and a massive saving.

Whilst the Nishua was loose fitting and leaked around the visor at the mere mention of rain, the Klim is another kettle of fish entirely!

It's absolutely fantastic! Beautiful to look at and a joy to wear.

My Tour X4 and Hornet Adv just feel heavy, noisy and cumbersome in comparison.

The Tour X4 will be going completely and the Hornet staying as a spare that will probably never be used again.

Back to the Klim, it's super quiet with no buffeting unlike the Nishua with a plush quality interior. You wouldn't know you had it on your head it's so light with an amazing field of vision. Comes with clear and black visor along with one pinlock insert in the box and I also purchased the transition visor which again I would highly recommend.

I only ever buy from SBS and with next day delivery and free returns along with class beating service, I don't know why you would shop anywhere else.

Fit is very personal, but these are a generous fit although a my normal size medium is still ok.
Finish leaves a little to be desired for a helmet in this price range, the top visor screw insert became loos and spinning in the shell, after 1st use required superglue to fix it
The visor fittings are a nightmare to get adjusted properly I can't stop the visor whistling from a tiny gap left at the front.
It compares well to other £350 lids glad I didn't pay more, if it wasn't the last one at a sale price I would have returned this helmet

Never looked at Klim gear before, because basically out of my price range!
But with 25% off, it's a different ball game.
Helmet is fantastic, easily the best I've owned.
Build quality is top notch, and it's lighter than a Sparrowhawk's conscience !!

After trying at least a dozen different styles and sizes of recommended helmets the Klim Krios was the only one that fitted perfectly with no intrusions anywhere. It was super comfy from the word go and is lighter than most so for a 63year old easier on my neck.
Highly recommended despite being more expensive, but for what you get it is well worth it.
The only downside is the vent screen under the chin lets more air through than I would like but is minor issue.

Nice lightweight helmet with good styling and comfy internal lining. Bit fiddly to work out how to fit the side blanking plates once you convert the mode but not too hard. As mentioned by other buyers the visor open position 1 is right in your line of vision. I didn't fit the pin-lock as I returned the helmet but I suspect that would have been even more in your line of vision. Returned the helmet to SBS because of the above and the product they sent me was really old stock.(mnfg date Dec 2018 - bought Nov 2021). The helmet box was covered in dust/dirt and slightly damaged which I was not happy about. A simple wet cloth could have sorted that out. Will probably use SBS again as usually good service and pricing.

This Klim helmet is quality. From the moment you pick it up, it is very lightweight and the feel of the interior is very soft and plush. It has good vision, the pinlock is in the box and easy to apply. The visor has quick release system so no tools needed. Have tested this helmet in the rain and there were no visor leaks. The fastener is a standard d ring so tried and tested. Sizewise, i would say it runs slightly big, but only very slightly. The inside is extremely comfy on the head, and there is not much wind noise. The peak is solid and does not catch the wind. This is the best helmet I have purchased, is well worth the money, its a beautiful piece of kit.

Helmet as such is really lightweight and quality is excellent. Surprise was size even knowing that I need M size and following resent reviews i took S and helmet is still too large a bit. Otherwise perfect!

This is an excellent product. So light and comfortable. Comes with clear and tinted visors. Reasonably quiet so you can hear the intercom easily. the peak is designed very cleverly as to not catch the wind even when looking sideways. The padding is of a high standard and the neck protection and chin protection works really well.

Really nice helmet to look at, very light but feels solidly built. Comes with black and clear visor which is a nice touch. Visor is easy to change and I can see why some people say they have broken the clips as they are stiff but plastic, however you do get spares in the box. Ventilation is good but I found that you do need the pin lock especially if you are stopped at the lights the visor dogs up pretty quick. My only criticism would be that the pin lock seems to finish just in my sight line which takes getting used to, this is a very minor and more personal niggle. With that in mind I am really pleased with the helmet did a trip to the peak district and covered nearly 200 miles in a day no discomfort or fatigue from the helmet.

I read the reviews on other sites and most said buy one size smaller than normal, when I received mine was very impressed with the finish and overall look of the helmet also included a dark visor and some spares again impressed. The first try on of the helmet it was very tight and I thought the reviewers had got the size advice wrong, but I persevered and it very quickly bedded in and I now find it very comfortable. I have come from Arai Tour X4 so it had a lot to live up to and so far am very happy mainly because it is so light in comparison to the Arai and does not seem to be any noisier. So to sum up good, light and comfortable (once worn for few hours) would recommend

Arrived via next day, well boxed, boy what a surprise the Klim Krios is. Obvious quality of build, a very light helmet with a comfort level from the internal material and perfectly placed padding. I have not known this level of comfort before, good looks and complete with second tinted visor that can be changed in seconds. I have been riding 48 years and I will say that Klim really did get this right first time.

Most comfortable helmet I have ever worn ,on or off-road
Usually a size xl in Shoei but found the large to fit like a glove. XL was still ok but L still comfortable so chosen. This was only after excellent advice in store. It is of course just so light. If you've never tried an ultralight helmet you are seriously missing out

Bought as a second winter helmet, the fit is really comfy, headset went in in minutes, seems so much room in the front of it and the overall weight is as said before so light.
For a first ride I spent 6 hrs with this on and was so happy I'd bought it. Downside - no sun visor . Upside - pinlock ready visor with insert included, worked a treat.
