I ride a Tiger 800 & it works well with side cases.
If you're looking for a little trick the Givi inner bag T514B fits perfectly in the main compartment' just grab it un go, that's if you're in a position of security where you can leave the Cargo bag attached too your bike. Excellent versatile bag that's adaptable.

Very good quality tail bag. Much bigger in use than it first appears packed down flat.
I bought this bag for a 2 week tour of the Pyrenees on my Triumph Speed Twin and it didn't disappoint.
It was big enough for my required luggage, including waterproofs, tools, etc. I found it easy to fit/remove using the 4 straps supplied and it was very stable on the bike. The side pockets are a useful size and provide ready access to items you might need during riding days without having to disturb the main compartment.
The waterproof liner has velcro strips which hold it place making it easier to pack/repack. The quality is excellent with strong material and zips and it has lots of extra loops and attaching points. It has a good carry handle but I attached a shoulder strap from a holdall which helped when carrying it in and out of hotels.
It's no exaggeration to say I'm delighted with this purchase. Well done SW Motech and Sportsbikeshop!

With a volume of 50 litres, the Cargobag is one of the most versatile bags in the Pro tail bag series. The soft bag adapts very well to many different tail designs and offers numerous transport storage solutions on the motorcycle. Large outer pockets on both sides, which can be compressed with hook and loop straps if necessary, make the Cargobag even more adaptable. A large mesh pocket in the lid provides space for small items, and bungee tie-downs with straps on the outside support other luggage items.
The Cargobag is made from indestructible 1680D ballistic nylon, which was originally designed for military use.
