Considerably cheaper than I've seen other brands and does the job. It's a lot more comfortable riding distance with it than without. Yes I prefer the look of the bike without it, but you can't see it when sat on the bike and the backsides a lot happier

Good product with room for improvement

It definitely helps to soften the hard seat experience by creating the air cushion that isolates your buttocks from physically touching the seat. However... it creates a pressure ridge that pushes ( the bigger the bump or hole in the road - the harder the push ) against the perineum and anus, which is a quite painful if you happened to have prostate or hemorrhoid problem. This could be easily eliminated by by changing it to split design, with the groove in the middle to accommodate / take it in to account or creating a hole / concaved space in the middle, which would also help with keeping the bum in the same position ( not sliding to the front or sides ). So, overall - good product with the room for improvement.

Bought the air seat before going to Germany this September and can honestly say never had a sore backside on any of the days riding. Does not need as much air inside as you first think to get the comfort correct too much air and you feel disconnected from the bike , worth buying for the longer days in the saddle

Extra padding

Really does the job. It doesn't move around at all and it has made all the difference on longer rides, I've tried more/less air and found around 70% is just right. So good I've recommended it to my brother

Brought this before taking seat to trimmers for last ditch attempt at comfort on my BMW F650 so far only been on 160+ mile ride but the difference has been noticeable,the seat pad is extremely easy to fit you just have to experiment a little with the air pressure (with supplied pump)

I thought I would give this a try after using an airhawk on many long trips and not being able to find it, checked out sbs and thought for the price I had to give it a try, and I think it's better, doesn't move as much on seat and well made

Floating on Air

This was an experiment for me as I have been suffering with Arthritis and I want a softer seat to cushion my hips.
You have to play around with the amount of air in the seat but once sorted its very comfortable. The fit on my 1290 SAS KTM is excellent. I can only give it a 4 now as I have not done a long trip to confirm what I think will prove to be a 5.
Its well made and well designed, I also think its good value for the money.

Takes some fiddling and getting used to but it seems to work.
On the occasions I've used it, my backside doesn't feel like I met big Dave in the prison shower.

Very pleased with this item so far. It provides a good level of comfort and is cost effective compared to some other brands. Good positioning onto the seat is key to the comfort. Only used it so far for a few hundred miles so still need to see how durable it is in the long term.
