Fits really snug but doesn't feel tight. I wanted something a bit better at keeping the cold out than a buff and this works great. The commutes to work in the mournings feel much warmer. Haven't experienced in the wet, but I went for this one over the non waterproof oxford balaclava as it felt warmer. Stops any cold air getting through, would highly recommend when riding in the cold.
