Oxford Advanced Storm Collar

To look at it, you wouldn't think it's surely capable of doing as advertised.

And yet - it does. I've had this on in the recent cold weather and it's capably kept me both dry and safe from the cold wind - but dry as well.

Absolutely kicking myself for not having got this previously because boy, it beats just using a normal neck warmer!

Well made and good fit. Made from a soft shell material that seems to be pretty resistant to wind and rain.
Big improvement in marginal weather.

Yet to use in a downpour but from other reviews & item quality I've no concerns.

Like others have said I sized up. I ordered a s/m and a l/xl to directly compare. Returned the s/m.
Oddly, I'm a small helmet size with medium/40 jacket, while the s/m would have worked, was comfy & not tight, if I hadn't ordered the l/xl to compare I'd have been happy.
However the l/xl felt very similar around the neck/face, not too much material or baggy, but the lower jacket coverage was much better to ensure it covers jacket collar. With the s/m I'd be concerned if put on in a rush during downpour collar could easily be exposed at the back.

Maybe order two sizes yourself since sportsbikeshop returns is so good!

Works well. Comfortable and effective

So, if you are between sizes then go up rather than down. Especially if, like me, you have a jacket with a low collar. Which is the main reason I need it. Being critical I would say the ribbing around the top that crosses the bridge of your nose needs to be softer as it can get sore on a long ride. You need to pull it up after putting your lid on. I haven't used it in a downpour but in 'normal' rain and very cold it has worked really well.

Bought this item because I was fed up of getting soaked, No matter what I did I couldn't prevent water getting down inside the neck of my jacket and my neck warmer becoming like a wet rag around my neck. This product fits over the neck of my jacket and stays in place whilst riding, problem solved, absolutely brilliant, why I haven't bought one sooner I have no idea. If you suffer like me with a stiff neck everytime you ride then this is an effective fix, it just does what it says, brilliant.

Fits well and keeps the cold air from entering the jacket, worn with a neck/face warmer very good so far.
Not worn in the rain yet as it hasn't rained since it arrived. As usual sportsbikeshop's service and delivery is second to none. Well done.

Very good at what it does for a reasonable price

Really pleased, great quality, seals the gap between jacket and helmet completely leaving you feeling nice and warm. Also being waterproof as well is great.
Tested at 3 degrees in rain and its brilliant.

After recently purchased most of my gear as a new biker the only issue I had was the cold coming under my chin. Picked this one as Oxford seems to be reliable and reasonable. Made a big difference and its a much for comfortable journey to work.

Having bought the right size second time around this is now really well fitting. I wore it on a two degree day and once it's well tucked into my helmet and jacket there were no draughts through it at all. A very good piece of kit.

Does exactly as it says fill the cold gap on your neck. Snug and waterproof

So I use a standard buff that comes up to my bottom lip /(under the helmet, this then covers my jacket neck and the buff below.
It works brilliantly, no leakage that I've found, it really reduces any cold air ingress too, so make sure you've got some air flow through your helmet or you'll find yourself getting sweaty quickly. Winter riding is nipped now!

Fills the gap between collar and helmet perfectly.

Slightly on the large side in terms of length for me but this does not stop it from doing it's job.
