Richa Atlantic 2 Gore-Tex Jacket - Black / Yellow

I have had Richa kit for a good few years and after my wife upgrading her kit to Gore Tex I decided to treat myself. Found this and I am not disappointed it arrived on time as usual from SBS. I love the weight of the jacket and the extended thumb holes in the sleeves. Well vented and looks great. Not had it in the rain yet. But looking forward to wearing it on our Norway trip.

I had the original Richa Atlantic suit and it was perfect in every way, it was comfy, great armour in it with D3O throughout, warm and most of all completely waterproof. Not one sniff of water got through the Gore-Tex material and I, as a motorcycle instructor am on my bike 24/7 365 days a year so all the above attributes are important to me. Now, the Atlantic 2 is all that and more!!
The liner has sleeves with the thumb gap in them to improve on warmth, you have a double zip fastening for the jacket, internal one for the storm proof section at the front and sturdy zip for the outer fastening. Pockets are fold over and zipped so once again emphasis on waterproofness.
If in the future they upgrade this then I will be impressed as to how as this jacket does exactly what it is meant to do.

"Wow ! What a jacket". This is the most that I have ever spent on a single item of clothing ever in the 56 years of my existence, but I'm so glad that I did. It's in a class above anything I've ever bought before.
Firstly, on trying it on instore at Sportsbikeshop Boston, I was immediately aware of the upgrade in quality of materials and the comfort of the jacket I was also pleasantly surprised at how well it fits my shape, made me look trim, It's very light too. There is lots of adjusting straps to help with this, and it makes for a very snug feel.
I liked that it has D3o armour in elbows shoulder, and included is the D30 back protector, at last, It's so refreshing not to have to pay for the Extra back protector. A major selling point for me. All the fastners and quality of the zips show that this is a really well thought out jacket with the outer venting zips having garages to park in, guaranteeing to stop water ingress. The collar is comfortable and I like the adjustable neck strap it works really well, It also has pockets all over the place which is very practical too. I like the thumb hooks at the end of the sleeves and that you can fit your gloves inside the jacket between the layers
I have been out in all weather this last month since purchase and have stayed warm and dry for the first time ever.
So to summarise, a well thought out jacket, that is big on safety that is light and comfortable to wear, warm and water proof and has lost of venting, it beats hands down the other more expensive brands on value and matches on quality, don't believe me then go try one on and discover all the above and more for yourself
I also think I looks good in it too!!
