Was a bit dubious about ordering these as in a way they seemed a gimmicky idea....how wrong can you be?! A really excellent aid to visibility at the rear end, and so neat! It was a bright idea after all!

I've used a few brands of number plate bulb bolts but they normally come in silver or chrome. Was delighted to find these ones in black for lighting up the plate on a pre '74 classic with black plate. The bulbs on these are LED, and the dome is a nice profile compared to some that look like barrels sticking out of the plate. Nice product.

I got these little beauties for my bike as the previous owner failed to fit a number plate light with a tail tidy. Absolutely super job! Very tidy.
Take care when tightening, don't over-do it as I suspect they would break easily. Great product!

Great option for a neat look when using a tail tidy. Easily fitted, but don't over tighten, as these are aluminium. Would be nice if had a yellow option. Could be painted.

As it says in the title, I am impressed on how bright these LED number plate lights are. A little expensive for what they are as you can get cheaper products off the Internet.
However I have always been impressed with the quality of stock from Sportsbikeshop and the exceptional level of after sales care, so to me they are well worth the price.

Where do the wires leave the unit? Are they concealed in the bolt section or extrude from the dome end?

How are these powered?
December 29, 2011The number plate light bulbs are wired into an existing point in the bike's electrical circuit. Wiring is supplied with the bulbs.
