RST Maverick Evo CE Textile Jacket - Black

Quality product, only just used for first time but comfortable well made, I removed the thermal inner but I'm sure that will keep me warm in the colder months it rained on the way home so tested the waterproof qualities of the jacket.

First I'll start with the good.
It does everything it says it will very nicely.
Its warm, waterproof even without the liner (the venting obviously brings this down to water resistant), fits true to size, has good carrying capacity, and it looks good. The liners are easily removable and have no issues with bunching, and the map pocket gives you a convenient place to store them if the weather takes a turn for better or for worse. The armour is also removable, which isn't a guarantee with RST kit, and includes limited adjustable positioning using velcro.

The negatives are limited.
The lower half of the back armour is quite loose, and can bunch and fold at your back when putting the jacket on, but once you realise this it's easily avoidable. The elbow armour is also inflexible, and when worn with both liners isn't especially comfortable. This improves with frequent wear, and even through wear duration as the armour warms up, but i'm still considering replacing it with something from SAS-TEC.
Another issue is introduced when combining the jacket with the RST zip belt, which causes bunching at the lower back. Whether this is a flaw with the jacket or belt system is debatable, but an important consideration regardless.

In all I am very happy with the jacket, and despite some curable flaws, I would recommend it to anyone looking for an adaptable out-the-box solution to their all-weather riding needs.

Decided to get some new kit when they had 30 percent off , seams very well made and plenty of options with removing either waterproof or thermal linings , also got matching trousers which zip together nearly all around so will definitely keep out chill, a good level of armour but may upgrade back armour to level 2 , for price and features a fantastic buy and as ever with all my sports bike shop purchases the service is A1 and faultless, Thankyou

Superb quality good fit to size, be aware check the size guide for actual size! As in what chest size M L etc actually are, as not all manufacturers are

I'm really pleased with this jacket. The RST quality is evident throughout, it's completely waterproof and the layers provide all the options you need to cope with any weather conditions.
I have used it in all weather conditions and it performs very well.

Couldn't be happier with this product. Great fit, and it's definitely waterproof as I spent last weekend riding through France and Spain where we had hours of torrential downpours.

This jacket is awesome! Removable layers so easy to change warm in the winter and the best jacket I've ever had for the the summer. Vent work so well. Fits well and has a good weight to it. Overall great product!
