Lock is larger than expected, but not an issue really for me. Like the loop chain.

Not used on my bike yet but by the feel and weight of it, few if any will even consider to dare to steal. Has a robust lock and the chain is serious looking. Only time will tell.

After a fortnight I use I can say this is hands down probably the best chain you can get if you still need it to be relatively portable. While it's not as light as my previous much cheaper chain the design allows for it to reach much further and overall it feels much more secure. The separate disk lock also feels strong enough to secure my bike just by itself. The only downsides I see to the chain is the fact the cover on the chain isn't waterproof so if you're putting it into a backpack or something it can make whatever else is in the a little bit wet. This is easily solved with a plastic bag also the cover on my lock has unfortunately already torn a small amount.

Versatile, quality security solution

This is an excellent two-part solution. The chain has a large loop at one end, which allows you to pass the rest of the chain through. This gives you plenty of reach compared to a standard chain, if you choose to fix the padlock to your bike.
The chain has a strong fabric sleeve to protect paintwork, which is plastic riveted to keep it firmly attached to the chain.
The padlock itself can be used as a disk lock if desired, and has a combined rubber & plastic coating to protect your bikes finish.
Finally, one of the supplied keys has a built-in LED torch - really useful when scrambling around on the floor in the dark!
Quite expensive, but definitely seems worth the price.

An all in one solution

When out & about the D lock section fits under my seat for use as a very heavy duty disk lock & at night my bike is securely anchored using it in combination with the versatile chain. An excellent all in one solution.

Quality chain and lock that fits under seat on GSX1300R. Plenty of different options for securing on bike and to fixed objects or just use lock on its own as a disc lock. Good price and fast secure service from Sportsbikeshop.

How long and wide is the mouth of the shackle when closed: ie would it fit around the drive shaft and through the rear disc of a modern GS?
