The Hyde XT Drystar XF jacket is positioned closer to the heavy off-road and/or dual sport side of the adventure touring segment. Featuring an extremely lightweight four-way stretch, single layer waterproof outer shell main construction for riding comfort. The jacket is reinforced with ripstop nylon on the external arms and shoulder for a high level of durability.
The Hyde XT has a laminated Drystar XF (Extra Flow) waterproof and highly breathable membrane for excellent wet weather performance. The waterproof Drystar XF membrane is an important benefit to motorcyclists riding in the wet because it makes the jacket super compact and keeps it very lightweight by not allowing any water to penetrate or soak through the shell. As a result, the Drystar XF membrane keeps the jacket from getting waterlogged and heavy, while at the same time prevents the rider from suffering any effects from wind chill by simultaneously allowing the fabric to breathe. The jacket has long direct ventilation ports on each side at the front and back, zipped air scoops on the forearms, and the Super-airflow panel on the front zip opening for large amounts of breathability during warmer weather.
Internally, the Hyde XT has a detachable armoured inner mesh jacket which is zipped in with Nucleon Flex Plus CE level 1 rated armour. Since the Hyde XT has a heavier focus and potential for off-road riding, the inner mesh jacket is designed to keep the armour close to the rider's body for ultimate comfort and protection, eliminating any movement restriction linked to the outer shell and armour interaction when muscling a bike off-road. The inner armoured mesh jacket is also completely upgradeable to level 2 Nucleon Flex Pro armour, as well as to the Tech-Air Off-Road System for the ultimate in rider protection. Having the ability to remove the inner armoured mesh jacket also allows the Hyde XT to be worn as a casual jacket when off the bike. The Hyde XT's outdoor adventure styling and function is made to inspire motorcyclists to get out and ride.
