Does the job but could be better.
02 December 2024 by Steven M
It secures the can well however, improvements could be made to the following points.
The can rattles and when full of liquid/fuel it rattles even more.
The only securing method is a bit of nylon strap.
The can cannot be locked into place o anyone can remove it when the bike is unattended.
It's difficult to use when you have gloves on so using it in cold weather will be an issue.
It is expensive for what it is and does.
What Could Be Improved!
Some padding to stop the rattles.
Ability to lock the can in place.
Easier use with gloves on.
Better securing method eliminating the nylon strap.
If the hinged sides met in the middle you could secure the can with greater effect and not need the strap.
Overall it does the job but if an alternative was available I'd suggest getting that because, although thos does indeed hold the jerry can in place, it needs a lot of improvements to be a first choice option.
