The MT07 is a short bike and you couldn't fit a tank bag using a standard fitting as it would get in the way of the handle bars and block your view of the dash.
With this fitting you can mount a reasonable sized tank bag without any concerns, also it it has been well thought out and any contact with the bike, is on the plastic parts not the painted parts so it will not cause any marks on the bike, great product and easy to fit using the supplied instructions.
