Good quality, tricky to fit

Nice minimalist rack, however fitting instructions are incorrect. Fitment of the supplied spacers is shown wrong. If you keep the original fairing spacers and then swap about the supplied spacers it fits perfectly. No bending or cutting as other reviews have said is required (on my bike anyway)

Incredibly tight fit, requires fettling

To back up ken c's review, the front mounting using the honda spacers as instructed is approximately 2mm too tight to actually fit.
He cut the struts I think, I will have to grind back the front mounting to widen it.
As of now its impossible to fit to the bike. Givi provide 2 spacing washers as they seem to think the rack should be a loose fit and need additional spacing.
Do not order unless you are capable of/have the tools for fettling the rack to fit

I have used Givi products for years and usually pretty good. But! This time I was less than pleased with the rack for my Honda CRF300L. It is well fabricated but in my opinion it is over engineered. It has two bracing bars which make the rack rigid, so much so that it is difficult to fit without using some force and it's fiddly when trying to fit the spacers and washers. I cut both struts just after the fixing holes and that made fitting the rack and E251 plate a doddle. Most of my past Givi racks come in two pieces anyway, they use the mounting points and the plate for rigidity. Works a treat!
