I used this as I need to have my heated socks at a higher level than my jacket. If you just buy the single controller, everything is on the same heat level.
Great product
This unit really is huge, the stiff wires coming out of it don't help matteres either. It seems to be that they deliberately designed this to be as awkward to use as possible to ensure you bought the wireless adapter. It also doesn't seem to turn off, rather only going down to 20%
This works well but it's awkward to place it somewhere where you can reach it easily. The solution is to buy the Bluetooth remote, but it makes it an expensive unit.
Very controllable.
Better with a remote control as it is quite bulky with lots of wires to tuck away.
Niggle: the wiring could be neater as putting it into the small pocket in the jacket is a nightmare. It's like ridged spaghetti.
The remote solves this issue.
I would still totally recommend it.
Really good product for organising all your heated gear. I don't think I could use this on its own though without the remote to partner it. For me it's just a bit of a faff to alter the setting using the portable controller as I have it tucked away in the pocket of my inner jacket.

The Gerbing Dual Portable Temperature Controller Plus gives the user more versatility with the addition of an extra output lead. This controller has 2 controllable feeds which can be used for a jacket, trousers, socks or old-style non-push-button gloves. It now has an additional direct feed for those that use new-style 2020+ push-button gloves or wish to use socks with an additional controller.
The dual controllable feeds show numbers 1 - 5 in each window of the unit. 1 being the lowest setting, 5 being the highest setting. This dual controller plus can be easily connected straight to the battery harness. Can also be paired to the Gerbing Wireless Remote Unit.
The cables are completely safe in all weather conditions. The unit is designed to be temporarily fitted to your belt or bike or simply popped in your pocket.
