Schuberth Clear Pinlock 120 Insert - C5 / E2 / S3

Ordered in plenty of time as they are rarer than rocking horse poo.

My 4th of these pinlock inserts, across 2 Schuberth E2 helmets, over just 2 months and the longest it lasted before warping and separating at the sides was 1 week. The first came pre-installed with the first helmet. That helmet returned due to leaking visor and pinlock that couldn't be sealed. The second came pre-installed with the second helmet; that helmet now can't be returned because it took just over 30 days before that visor leaked. Can't be corrected. In that time the pinlock wouldn't seal so SBS replaced it for free, fitted by SBS staff in Leeds store, pins to full tension, sealed perfectly. 1 week later the replacement insert has warped and separated. So SBS sent a replacement in the post for me to fit. Received, sealed perfectly with pins at zero tension. 1 week later the new insert has warped and separated. So now, unable to return the helmet and not willing to spend anymore on this awful helmet, I have butchered the visor and insert on a supposed premium helmet. DO NOT BUY A SCHUBERTH E2 HELMET. You will find out it is dreadful in cold and rain. No wonder the promo video is in glorious sunshine. SBS are brilliant but this helmet and pinlock is awful and there's nothing more SBS can do and Schuberth won't admit a problem.
