Schuberth C5 Race Visor - Not Road Legal

This is a great product that makes a big difference on the track days I have attended.

Quality product.

It doesn't look that dark but worked very effectively in August sunshine in Ireland.

The peak on my Schuberth E2 is great on sunny days but blows around and causes turbulence in windy conditions or when following traffic. Removing it, of course, is an option but then I would be left with a visor fixing which would have a hole in either side where it pivots. There are a couple of push-fit caps which go in to the holes but there is no click fit. They just sort of sit there and I was worried that they would get lost too easily.
Then I saw a video review of the E2 helmet and the presenter made the point that the visor for the C5 helmet works on the E2 so I went looking for one.
I checked Sportsbikeshop first because whilst, as a pensioner, I don't spend any fortunes on bike gear, they have always been brilliant for me, providing good advice and great service. However, the price for this visor was a lot more from them than from an alternative supplier I found. So, out of loyalty to Sportsbikeshop, I asked for a Price Match. Within a very short amount of time, they came back to me and said 'Yes' they would honour the price match. I ordered and the visor came the next day. It is a superb fit and has the advantage of a flush, smooth surface across the pivot area, meaning that noise and turbulence are reduced to a minimum. Result!
