RST Alpha 5 CE Textile Trousers - Black / Black

Very comfortable trousers, fit perfectly as per size guide, good adjustment. Not used yet so can't comment on performance

Nice material, but failed in the waterproof department the first time I used them, left me soaked within half an hour.
Also knee pads were in the wrong place and weren't adjustable as per manufacturers claims. As per their usual good service Sportsbikeshop refunded.

Good quality well made and kept me dry in a torrential downpour. Very warm too. I've removed the armour though to improve comfort when on the bike as they were digging into my knees a bit

Ordered my actual size and they fit lovely. Have kept me warm and dry.

Boutht these a size larger than normal so I could wear them over jeans for commuting to work. They are comfy for the 2 hr commute, and stayed dry during light showers. I havent been caught in a downpour yet, but if they are as good as my previous RST trousers, I wont be disappointed zips and fasteners all work well with gloves on.

Great quality product, I was pleased with how well the item fitted. Perfect with the Alpha Jacket as they zip together easily and comfortably.

Good quality trousers, have only tried them on at home, as bike is off rd just now. They are a bit long but 34 short wasn't available and I think they'll be ok while riding. If they are as good as my rst jacket in the rain I'll be happy. Like the fact they zip together and all the way round.

Well made, warm - I wanted something with a good rating for my first trousers, this fit the bill perfectly. I chose them as they matched the jacket I bought, zip together well. I imagine they'll be pretty hot in the summer though!

I brought these based on the reviews, great price. The sizing is true to size so no need to go up a size when ordering. They work great in the recent poor weather. Good quality usual great service from SBS

This is my first dip into the wet weather gear market and they do not disappoint. Easy to get over a regular pear of jeans in colder weather and light enough to wear by themselves on warmer unsettled days. Love and trust RST gear

Bought them for using in the rain and they are really good waterproof wise but as they dont have a removable liner they do get hot and sweaty. Knee protection in them isnt the comfiest as it moves around and can dig in so could probably do with upgrading. Really good fit though. Overall decent for the price and will be good in the cold winter.

Sizing was consistent with rst and the adjustable position for the knee pads is a good feature at this price point. As a new rider it's good to get a functional pair of well made trousers for a budget price

Great product and very comfortable but incredibly hot in the summer due to the lining. Be perfect in the cool weather though. Bought these on a visit to the Sportsbikeshop store in Boston. Usual great service. They are second to none

The good:
Great fit, accurate sizing, long leg is really long, boot zips work really well without the waterproof inner getting caught up, generous bottoms to allow for boots with velcro fastening over zip, good range of waist adjustment makes for all day comfort, good sized bellows pockets on front of both legs are very useful.
The bad:
The waterproof inner lining can't be removed so they are inevitably hot in summer.
The hip pockets lack safety protectors.
There is little adjustment on the knee protector pockets which, for me, meant that the stiffish plastic protectors provided align in such a way as to cause the top edge of the protector to bite into my kneecap which became excruciating after an hour or so. Despite trying several times I was unable to get a comfy fit and discarded the protectors in favour of longer ones which then curved nicely over my knee.
Overall:
Good quality trousers which may need a bit of armour tweaking.
