RST Pro Series Commander CE Textile Jacket - Silver / Blue

Although appearing well made and comfortable, in heavy rain it leaked. Jacket purchased for a riding trip to Scotland and was used for a total of five days. On our return home in very heavy rain the double zip arrangement let water through - wetting my T-shirt. Disappointing performance for a jacket at this price point.

So far it has been great. Warmer than any jacket I've owned and with better ventilation. Plenty of pockets, all with waterproof zips and flaps. It is heavy, but comfortable, and sits low past my waist which is great for bad weather riding.

I am an M is most clothing and went for an M in this and found that to be right. Even though RST say an M is for a larger chest size than I have. Go by your usual clothing size.

Only have two niggles. The arms are a bit long for me. And I wish the interior chest pocket was between the inside and outside main zip, so I don't have to undo both to get to my phone and wallet. But neither of these are deal breakers for an otherwise brilliant bit of kit.

Having had a RST textile jacket for over 10 years, it was finally time to get an upgrade! The Commander came up in my top 5 with it's laminated waterproofing, along with the many strong reviews. First off, the jacket isn't flashy in appearance but very functional. Zippers are in the right place and most importantly; work (hate it when they regularly get hung up on underlaying fabrics).
The armour is good quality and adjustable in minutes. The collar is a great feature, and I love the ease of the venting system. The addition of the magnets make a nice touch!
All in, the jacket was under £300 but feels like it's much more. Especially in the rain. No leakage, and even at the collar nothing got through. Haven't zipped them up to my RST Paragon trousers for a rainy ride, but can confirm they zip up fine.
All in all, a great investment for years of dry riding in most (haven't used them in snow yet) conditions.

After looking for a high quality, reasonably priced waterproof textile jacket for some time, I came across the pro series commander. It's an excellent jacket which has the features and quality of one that is twice the price, or more. I tried on a number of similar jackets from RST as well as other brands and found that this came out on top in every aspect; quality, safety, fit and features. The jacket is true to size overall but snug with the insulating layer fitted, so if you intend on wearing additional heavy layers underneath then you may benefit from a size up.

Highly quality throughout and snug glove like feeling when riding. Runs true to size. Resisted heavy rain efficiently for 30 minutes, not tested for longer yet. After trying other brands, RST is the best quality at an affordable price and is a worthy investment. I went for XXXL instead of my usual XXL to allow comfortable winter layering.

My first laminate jacket and I must say it is an excellent fit, true to size and 110% comfortable. Kept me warm and dry at -1 in driving rain. Best jacket I've ever owned!!!

I've recently purchased this jacket and am more than pleased with it, it's comfortable and fits nicely, and it seems to be waterproof after riding through a heavy rain shower. As usual I received excellent service from sportsbikeshop.

Great jacket, feels well put together and is quite heavy, but when your wearing it, it feels part of you.
The main reason I bought this model of jacket was the fact that it was a laminated version, where as some of the other textile rst ones are a waterproof coating on the out side of the thermal lining, which to me living in the uk sound a bit of a stupid way of making them, I mean if your in a hot summer's day but its raining, the last thing you need is a quilted linner in your jacket just to keep you dry, if doesnt make sense to me.... just make the outer jacket the waterproof to start with.
I have a rst leather jacket for summer to help stay cool in the heat, and a rst textile one for the colder wetter months of the year, I find textile jackets to warm in summer..
To sum up, geat comfortable well made jacket, nice level 2 protection, spot on sizing, great service from sportsbikeshop.

The quality of the jacket is well made, it has a warm liner and so far hasn't let any water through although I haven't been out in a heavy down poor yet, but so far so good... The jacket is a good fit and very comfortable the collar is soft and does not rub. It's a great jacket in my opinion.
