Elegant integrated system with one very minor flaw

I have fitted this sytem to my new Exo-230 (yes it does fit even though the web site says it doesn't). It is a very well thought out system that blends in beautifully to the lines of the helmet, the speakers (which included the microphones so no boom) are unobtrusive and have excellent sound quality. The unit itself was easy to pair with my iPhone and Garmin Zumo 396. The only design flaw is (as mentioned in other reviews) is the fiddly way of removing the battery to charge it. This is in fact easily overcome but buying a very short "extension cable" (Amazon/eBay) which allows me to leave the battery in place in the helmet and charge in situ. I did originally try to fit an external intercom but found it too difficult to get a satisfactory installation. Finally, the unit does come with a separate external fitting kit, so if you ever did swap helmets to a non Scorpion make, you can reuse the intercom! So notwithstanding the minor battery fiddle, a very well thought out, good performer that I am happy to recommend.

Great sound quality and easy to pair with fellow riders and pillion. Only criticism is the fiddly nature of taking out the battery to charge it from my ADX-2 helmet. Good piece of kit.

Excellent intercom

Easy to install and easy to operate, speakers are great, even through earplugs. The package comes with a mount that allows you to install it on helmets other than Scorpion but I think it invalidates the warranty. But for me, it's perfect, does the job really well, so glad to have comms in the helmet now.

Perfect addition to ADX2

Easy to install and the fact it has integrated microphones in the speakers is great in a flip front helmet. Paired easily to phone but not so good to a 6 year old Garmin satnav. Sound is crisp and clear for both music and calls and plenty load enough.

Good unobtrusive bit of kit, I bought it alongside the ADF9000 and whilst it fits ok I'm not a lover of an external battery pack (nowhere else for it to go as far as I can see.) Easy to use and so far so good.

The intercom once fitted is great. It has clear sound and is quite loud (can be heard over my exhaust and that's loud) where it does fall down is the lack of instructions. There should be online instructions for integration into each helmet that scorpion produce, but this isn't the case as far as I could see.

Pro's & con's

Integrates into some Scorpion helmets seamlessly and easy to fit. Internal mikes in the speakers are a great idea. The unit is pretty easy to fit.
My issue is with the sound, the volume does not go high enough clearly. When listening to music at speed on max volume, the sounds distort and don't sound great.

Great sounds, easy fitment

Easy to install with no discomfort from speakers, clever design with microphone built in to the speakers so NO boom mike. Clear adjustable volume and unobtrusive on helmet. My only issue is I need to get used to where the controls are located as very different from my previous Sena, Control unit has ridges to allow location and function when wearing gloves. I have only tried to connect to 1 SENA through bluetooth which worked well but it does have mesh as well. Will have to see how it works when on tour later in the year.
