second one I've had I commute 80 miles a day all year round and as soon as winter starts this goes over my jacket and stays there. No water gets through. Go a size up.

Good quality zips and thick material.

Bought these along with the trousers, worn in the recent storms and they kept me perfectly dry.
As with the trousers I think Merlin need to re-think the sizing. I only wear these if it's raining in the summer/autumn. I have winter gear which I use for more severe weather.
I would recommend the jacket and trousers, but order a size up to be sure. I own other Merlin products and am very happy with them.

I watched the million dollar brogan use this jacket in England and thought why not.
The jacket comes in a very handy pouch that had kept it in A1 condition with the numerous times it was used, the lining stopped it sticking and clinging to my main jacket and made it a breeze to fit an close in a couple of minutes.
The high collar ensures water didn't run down my neck.
With the numerous downpours this has remained watertight.
Overall I'm pleased with the purchase, and am getting a set for my Wife.
