Verified Customer Reviews for D.I.D Heavy Duty 'X' Ring Chain
Excellent value for the money looks great assurance of quality and reliability from the standard equipment.
Ordered on line as the store is also not too far away if needs be.
Chain and Oxford breaker tool arrived a couple of days earlier than stated and now fitted and doing its job.
Gold coloured links look far better quality than the POS fitted as OE.
DID is the best chain out there.
Looks good in gold but above all is the quality of the chain. I have replaced many bikes with DID chains and have got long mileages out of them since fitting.
Can't fault them
I wasn't primarily interested in the colour, rather getting the strongest available, but it really does look great amongst the black and silver of my bike. Super solid stuff.
Looks good and easy to fit with a multi purpose Chain Tool...
Looks better than original.
Top service from Sportsbikeshop.
Wouldn't choose anything else as this chain really does last forever with good maintenance.
Decided to pay the extra for the GOLD chain - for looks & strength. Last chain also a DID lasted 20,000 miles with a Scott Oiler.
Fitting was a doddle with correct irish screw driver. Chain looks very substantial & also looks the Biz.
D.I.D Heavy Duty 'X' Ring Chain - 525 Pitch ZVM
- Heavy duty
- Higher wear resistance
- Reduces friction
- Patented X-ring construction
- Keeps dirt out and lubrication in
D.I.D's patented X-ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of squashing. Normal O-rings and other manufacturers modified O-rings have squashed points that increase friction. The twisting action of the X-ring disperses the pressure and minimises power loss.
Questions and Answers
Does the ZVM chain have outer and inner gold links? Also, is the connecting link included?
January 17, 2023Yes, I can confirm the ZVM chain has gold inner and outer links. The connecting link is included in the package.
Hi. I'm looking at ordering the D.I.D chain for my 2014 Z1000SX. Whats the differences between the standard VXGB and heavy duty ZVM chains? Is there a recommended chain for the Z1000SX. It would be 112 links long. Thanks in advance. Regards David Gower
August 7, 2017The standard VX Seies Chains feature greater rigidity and wear resistance compared to normal chains, using low friction X-Rings for maximum performance. The Heavy Duty ZVM Chains are designed for maximum wear resistance, to be the strongest, longest wearing high performance drive chains available. As to the chain you should go with, it is entirely down to personal preference and which chain best suits your needs.
Do stock this chain in 116 Links for the Triumph 675?
November 23, 2011We do not supply a 116 link option in the DID chain although we can supply it as an option in the Tsubaki 525 'X' Ring chain.
Find it cheaper at any major motorcycle accessory retailer, online or in-store and we‘ll match it.
