Kriega US-40 Rackpack

I've used kriega kit in the past and it's always performed amazingly. However the bigger bags can take up a lot of room on the back of the bike that isn't there on sports and naked bikes. This bag despite being the biggest doesn't. Mounting as it does I didn't even notice it was there while I did a 2100 mile trip on a triumph street triple. It mounted firmly and securely and even looked good on the bike. The trip involved Scotland so it also included rain. All my kit was bone dry inside and the outer bag dried quickly. I also had attached a us10 dry bag to the top which again I didn't notice was there and attached perfectly to the us40. Great kit by kriega. Would highly recommend. Bought this for a trip through Vietnam in the dry season. Turned out not very dry, in fact it rained for 10 days solid. Contents stayed dry and the bag showed no signsof wear and tear after 2 weeks of abuse. Very easy and quick to get on and off the bike which is great when you're tired at the end of a long day and don't want to spend ages getting your bags off the bike. Folds flat when not in use. Excellent product. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

This is a bag for life! Kriega design and quality is second to none. Extremely adaptable and secure waterproof luggage solution. Easy to attach and remove quickly. (no more bungie injuries) Price reflects the quality. Superb service from Sportsbikeshop.

It is made to last, it is practical, fits easy on the bike and can be trusted.
Roll the ends tidy and it will keep things dry and safe.
Kriega cost but then you get the best on the market.

Already had a US-20 and bought the US-40 drypack as additional luggage for a trip to the lake district and Scotland. The materials on these bags are top quality cordura and protected by an inner drybag for your belongings. Straps and fittings held secure to the bike and the modular design allowed for my US-20 to attach safely and securely to the US-40. I had the missfortune of having to ride through the worst of storm Agnes as i got to the lake district, through torrential rain. When i arrived at my location, was pleased to to find all my belongings inside the bags were still nice and dry. I would definitely recommend this luggage. Stands up to the worst conditions and extremely durable. Fittings are string and secure too.

Great materials, easy to mount even on an old monster, feels perfectly secure and flexible during travels. Top!

Very flexible bag which carries enough for a weekend or week away and fits neatly onto the seat of my T7. Robust and completely waterproof, based on torrential rain for its inaugural 6 hour trip. Neat carrying strap. Would be perfect if it had a small outer pocket in which to store that and other small items but I may use a small Kriega accessory pack in future. Expansion capability of the bag will probably be enough for my travel needs but reassuring to know that one can add other Kriega bags in a modular way.

Have used Kriega bags before and found them excellent. This larger 40l (with it being able to reduce to 28l) should be ideal for my forthcoming tour with an additional 20l strapped on top

Can't fault the quality at all. Also really quick with the loops attached to the rear rack just to clip it on and off.
The only slight issue for me is that it's actually a bit awkward to load with gear compared to a normal holdall type bag. The openings are quite narrow so it's definitely a bit more of a faff to get gear in there.
But the payoff is that even when it's strapped on the bike I can still get access to the side for anything I need close to hand, I really like that feature. Overall a solid 8/10

I am currently engaged in a one-upmanship battle with a fellow biker, with respect to Kriega gear. So far I'm winning hands down as my cupboards are bursting with Kriega stuff, all of which gets used, before you ask. This rackpack is an excellent new product and is perfect for camping and photographic expeditions on the bike. I can get a two-person tent, extra groundsheet, sleeping mats, pillows, stoves, and various bits and bobs in this thing with room for more if I need it. The poles and other sundry long things go in the pouch at the top (which would also accommodate a camera tripod). There are so many ways to fix it to the bike (GSX 1000, TIger 660) that it's not going to move, let alone fall off, in a month of Sundays. It has been through quite a bit of horrible weather this autumn already but it doesn't leak and a quick swill down has it looking pristine again in no time.

Kriega bags are just fantastic quality, they're designed well and last forever. You never need to worry about waterproofness, I've never had a Kriega product leak, although slightly expensive, I would highly recommend this product and it will universally fit securely on any bike you have without much adjustment.

I picked this up to go on a lightweight top rack on the T7. The quality is top notch with lots of mounting straps/ options. Perfect expanding width to fit over two OS18s. The tent pole sleeve is ideal to hold an easy to reach tool pouch, the hard wrap down covers help to keep things locked in . Top loops allow the bottle carrier to be easily added. The only negative with all the Kriega gear is the number of straps that need to be checked and clipped back.First class service and communication as always with SB shop.
