Going on a long tour and even though my Rocket 3 GT already has a comfortable seat, why not make it better. Read the reviews on SBS which prompted me to buy. Chose the try before you buy option online. Nipped to Boston and I was even allowed to try it on the seat first ???? Followed the advice on less is best and it certainly is. The quality look and feel to the bladder and cover is exceptional. Nice long strong straps for securing under the seat. Added covering for the straps to protect the seat material is also nice and it doesn't look out of place when fitted. If there is any criticism, the strap buckles could be of the type that allows you to pull them tight rather than having to keep threading the straps through. The added comfort is obviously the main attraction and you won't be disappointed there. Love it, love riding with it!! Usual kind and friendly service from SBS, thanks!!

Comfort air cushion

I've been riding since '86 and never found a seat as uncomfortable as the BMW, R18, unless its just my ass getting old?
This isn't the perfect size or shape for the R18, but I'm getting used to the look of it. It's well made with good quality materials. It fastens under the bike seat - bit of a pain as the R18 seat is bolted on. Another review says "less is better" regarding inflation, I thought that would be nonsense, but it's correct- that said if over inflated it takes seconds to take a bit of air out. I've needed to adjust mirrors due to sitting half an inch higher, requiring a spanner on the R18, but the improved comfort makes the bike a better ride. Previously 90 minutes + became very uncomfortable, now I'll be happy with 3 hours, though my small fuel tank will get me off the bike before that. The comfort air cushion after about 600 miles seems a good buy.

Eases a numb bum!!!

Have just completed a 3,000 mile road trip with some days riding 400 miles. I definitely couldn't have done this sort of mileage without the comfort seat as it eases a lot of pressure.

Bought this cushion as i have a custom seat which for long journeys is a pain. After fitting this I rode for 2.5 hours and it was comfortable once I had adjusted the air pressure (less is better!). Good product but could be made even better by fitting clips instead of the current buckles as removing and refitting is a pain and awkward, also I would not want to leave this in the rain as the outer cover will absorb water, another reason to have quickly detachable clips. Good but could be excellent.

Helps with tailbone pain

As per the title, I suffer from tailbone pain, which is triggered on my cruiser due to the seating position (I have a sports tourer as well which does not trigger the pain). This cushion does help a lot with soreness. I am yet to experiment with how much air works best for me, but have been out for rides longer than an hour and half feeling only slight discomfort (prior to this I would be feeling pain!). I have noticed that the cushion does also take pressure off the thighs, again adding nothing but comfort. When I first put the cushion on I had it a bit too far back and had to bring it forward, which wasn't any bother. It easily straps under the seat and can be tightened as much as needed, without causing damage to the seat. I have taken out the inflatable part in order to wash the bike, as was able to do so without having to remove the straps. I know there are more expensive (and cheaper) cushions out there, but I am happy with this. This also allows for airflow in and under areas you usually wouldn't get, and it was a pleasant surprise in some scorching weather we have been having! I have nothing to compare it to as it's the only cushion I have ever purchased for a motorcycle, however I have nothing bad to say about it.

Having read reviews on this product I finally took the plunge and bought it - now I wonder why I waited!
This ComfortAir seat cushion is just magic at making the relatively comfortable into the Heavenly, as far as my bum is concerned! It is very well made and simplicity to fit and adjust and now it cossets my botty like nothing else, it even makes my sofa feel less perfect! It is a thoroughly brilliant product for anyone suffering from the numb bum syndrome or even the less than comfy seat problem and I totally recommend it!
