Verified Customer Reviews for ComfortAir Seat Cushion
Customers frequently commend the ComfortAir Cushion for its notable comfort enhancement during long rides. They highlight the cushion's quality and effective pressure distribution, alleviating discomfort and extending ride time. Many appreciate its ease of inflation and secure attachment, though some note minor adjustments are necessary for optimal use. Although a few mention a slight increase in seat height, overall satisfaction is high, affirming its value as a more affordable alternative to custom seats.
Very easy to fit on my (Ninja 1000SX) saddle. Takes a while fettling with air pressure to get the sweet-spot. Though it can't totally prevent 'numb-bum' it certainly reduces it, and easily doubles or triples the length of time I can stay comfortably in the saddle.
It appears to be very well made and looks good too.
Nice and comfortable and no sore ass on my recent tour around Scotland. Excellent service from SBS as usual.
Bought for my 2021 R1250GS to relieve an increased occurrence of numb bum even following a short trip.
Has been brilliant so far and am very pleased with my purchase
Great well made product, l found the straps a little short to go round my GSA seat, they cut into the fabric of the seat but still fit.
Very quick delivery as always from SBS. Instructions very easy to read and follow, and very easy to install, only takes a few minutes. Once installed, I noticed the difference immediately. Altering the air in it is remarkable easy, very clear Instructions on setting it for the first time, could not have been any simpler, only used it twice up to now, bur I am not disappointed in any way.
Super easy to fit, well constructed and easy to use. Bought in preparation for an ironbutt challenge (RBLR1000). Have not ridden any decent miles yet plan to ride to Scotland and back to give it a test run.
I Bought this to replace my AirHawk which had a leaking valve. Having used air cushioned seat for the last 10 years whilst touring various places around Europe I have to say that I can generally stay in the saddle for longer periods of time than my colleagues who don't have one. This looks to be an improvement on the AirHawk I had but time and miles will tell. Very pleased so far, would definitely recommend.
I bought this as a birthday present for one of my old biking mates. I sold him my Versy1000 a year ago and he moans how uncomfortable the seat is after an hour or so in the saddle.
I have purchased a comfort air cushion from SBS previously so I know they really do work, even for big old sheds like me.
Hopefully my mates bum will be equally as happy as mine is too on this year's trip to Austria.
The standard seat on the BMW GS is not bad but as an older rider I find my bottom and particularly my perineum (Google it!) become numb after a couple of hours. The discomfort soon returns after a break. Yes you can buy 'comfort seats' but they are very expensive and I've heard it said sometimes the actual comfort improvement is marginal. I researched inflatable seat pads of which there are several established brands. There are also much cheaper versions. After much deliberation and consideration of revues, I plumped (see what I did there) for the ComfortAir Cushion. Yes at first glance it does seem quite expensive for what you get but it appears well made. Also the company has been supplying similar products for wheel chair users etc for some time so presumably is a proven design and is likely to be durable and long lasting. I like the fact it can be inflated easily by mouth so doesn't require a pump. I also like the fact that the strap attachment points are hidden under the seat. It fastens securely and doesn't slip around. It is most important not to over inflate the cushion. The instructions about this are clear and if followed correctly you will find the cushion is almost unnoticeable under your backside as you ride. The cushion doesn't look out of place on a GS but that might not be the case on other styles of bike. I've also tried it on my Bonneville and yes it does look a bit odd but the trade off is a more comfortable ride. Swopping the cushion between bikes is quick and easy.
To sum up this cushion has made a noticeable improvement to my comfort and has lived up to my expectations. Job done and money well spent in my opinion. Ordering goods from SBS is quick and easy with fast delivery and the reassurance of excellent customer service.
This was a replacement for an earlier purchase which only lasted a few months before it started to leak air from around the seal.
Sportsbikeshop were excellent and after examining the seat they replaced it FOC
Only had the new one a couple of weeks so time will tell whether this latest version is more durable.
Easily fitted to my Honda Fireblade CBR900RR. Once the air pressure is adjusted to minimal air it makes a huge difference to the length of time I can ride the bike without finding the rather hard seat uncomfortable. Just done 150 mile trip with 2 stops and all in complete comfort on the seat. I could easily have done the trip with only one stop. British made and high quality product.
Much more comfort over distance on my KTM and a fraction of the price of a 'comfort' seat.
Bought this to improve the standard seat on my Suzuki GSX1250FA and it definitely makes a difference (based upon initial 3 rides). Previously, I could go about 80 mins without getting a numb bum but this cushion seems to extend that to a little over 2 hours. I don't find that you move around on the seat to any great degree but it does raise your effective seat height by a little. Overall quality of the product seems good.
It really is a revelation, it does seem expensive for what it is but it's made a bmw gs usable for more than an hour. Use it as per the instructions, it really needs minimal air in it, and its spot on, you don't even notice it's there, which says it all.
It's just a shame that it doesn't improve the rest of the bike...
I brought this as a cheaper option to having my seat recovered. It is really comfortable and spreads my weight about the seat relieving any undue pressure. It took a while to get the seat set up, and it's a work in progress whenever I get on my bike. First class delivery by sportsbikeshop as you can always expect
seems to be a good quality product but takes some work to get right.
you put the absolute minimum of air into the bladder otherwise it adds 3 inches to your ride height and moves around under you. Not a good sensation. overall if the standard seat is uncomfortable then this is a good idea especially for a long ride.
Without doubt a comfier ride especially on longer trips. My biggest gripe is that its not quick release and as my seat is not readily removable on the move I cant swap from this to my normal seat easily on a trip.
Other than that Im happy with item.
Brought to increase seat hight mainly, not so much for comfort, although both have been achieved by this seat cushion.
