Will not connect to other Cardo and non Cardo comms units. When streaming music, will randomly switch to FM radio. Voice instructions rarely work. App store reviews have many users having the same issues, and more.

I had previously owned the cardo spirit as it was normally just myself on my bike and I mainly used it for listening to music. Now I have 2 brother in law that have just passed their bike test and we purchased the packtalk slim. This is much better than the spirit as the unit is a lot smaller on the helmet. The sound quality is great and also it just reconnects if one of us get out of range and then gets back into range. I put the second unit on my kids helmet so they can come out as a pillion and it now makes going out even better than it was before.

Near as perfect

Bought the twin pack to fit into HJC RPHA-70's. Fantastic fit with a slimline profile. Both pair automatically even if they haven't been connected for weeks! Range is no where near the stated capabilities however out performs Bluetooth by far. Only downside seems to be that the voice commands don't seem to always work properly. Changed language to UK and have the latest firmware but doesn't work as well as usual voice assistants. I now use a mixture of "Ok Google" and "Hey Cardo" to get the best results. Saying "Hey Cardo, Battery status" is a very useful feature!!

Even the packaging is of a high standard and it just gets better as you reveal the unit itself.
All of the components look and feel well made and robust. They fit together well and even though I had to do some cosmetic surgery to fit into my LS2 Valiant helmet, it is worth it!
The buttons are easy to find and press, the quality of sound is excellent and the voice control works well once changed to "English UK".
All the aspects of connectivity are just as described and easy to achieve. Battery life is very good and once you're connected to your riding buddies, that it! Just enjoy the ride and the ability to communicate without the need to resort to hand gestures.
