Oxford Dual USB Socket & 10A Fused Loom

Easy to fit, seems decent quality

Needing to supply power to my phone which I use for "WAZE" the satnav app, incidentally, I am using the QUAD LOCK system to mount the phone, that too is some good kit, bit pricey but excellent quality. So I looked on the interweb for suitable USB sockets and found a plethora of options, all looking very similar, all about the same price, and most with dodgy reviews. I then came across the Oxford USB Socket, clearly more expensive, but seemingly a better option, decent reviews and it's Oxford, a brand I have used before and one I have always been impressed with. Well designed , well made and and quality materials. Next stop SBS to see if they carried the item, which they did. I placed the order, and it arrived in very quick time, and having examined it in the flesh I was pleased with my purchase. I just need to decide on the best way of wiring it in and I am sure it will do well. And should there be a problem, I have the confidence that dealing with Oxford and SBS, it will be resolved without fuss. You don't often get that when shopping online.

Good quality accessory, only issue was that the cable needed shortening & I used an aftermarket connector to utilise OEM Fused socket on my CRF300L. Fully recommend this product, usual good service from Sportsbikeshop.

Easy to install (had to crimp on my own connectors though) - I routed it onto a 'switched' set of ports enabled on my Versys X 300 by the addition of an OEM relay. Nothing too complex. There's enough length in the wire to have gone from dash to battery for direct connection too, should that be desired. All in all fully satisfied - the cap looks nicely weatherproof.

Well made, substantial socket . Only problem I had was cable length - too short to reach battery from bars, but no where
to mount on frame near battery so had to extend which starts to get a bit fussy. But a good quality item nonetheless.

Solid, fits snugly to the mirror upright, a deep, close-fitting rubber 'cap' ensures it is well sealed against rain and dirt.

A tech fitted mine direct to the battery (I am not capable of doing the work myself) so there is a constant drain on the system. Not sure why it has to be lit and/or doesn't have a switch to turn it off. I will ultimately get a switch fitted to solve the problem, but as I use the bike everyday it is not a huge concern.

Good quality with an excellent water proof cover could be improved by being switched

Bigger than I expected it to be but still a good fit.

Added this to the handlebars of my Triumph Tiger Sport 660 as the OEM din socket is located in a stupid place.

This now makes it easy to charge my phone on the bike. Phone is held by separate holder.

Easy enough install, requires wiring either directly to battery or a switch live somewhere. I wired mine to a power hub under the seat.
Only criticism is the wiring is shorter than expected and although not a problem for me in the end, big bike's might struggle to reach to the battery.

Very good. All the bits are there for fitting. Appears good quality.

For those bikes without a factory fitted USB output this is a must.
Mounted on the bars and wired to an inline on/off switch straight off the battery (don't like messing with ignition circuits)

Had the socket fitted to my Africa Twin at my local MC garage using the original hole/space that was already available in the cockpit of the fairing, to left of the digital display. It could have also been fitted to the handle bars. It works like a dream for charging my IPhone and is very good quality. It has a good rubber cap to keep the rain out and is easy to use with a USB cable.
