Rev'it Sand 4 Leather Gloves - Black / Blue

These gloves look very good and use good quality materials. However, the design is awful and it is hard to believe that these gloves have been thoroughly tested. First of all Rev'it needs to review their size charts. I have glove size L according to the charts but always buy XL. For the Sand 4 I choose XXL and they are still way too small! I thought wearing them a while would break them in. How wrong I was. The knuckle protection is way to stiff and creates sore knuckles on both hands. Even after wearing them for a few weeks I can hardly bend my fingers. The worst is that both my hands get severe cramps after riding a while (I do have relaxed hands while gripping the bars). I think is because of the hampered blood flow due to stiffness and knuckle protection.
Unfortunately I can't return them any more as I have been wearing them. Definitely £90 wasted. This is obviously not the fault of Sportbikeshop. It is the first time in years that a motorbike clothing product I've ordered was so bad.
Think twice before buying these goves.

Gloves are great good quality and well made comfortable sizes are small I'm a large in most makes size 10 had to order 3 xl in these sportsbikeshop easy to buy from ok to deal with delivery times were long was in stock did say it was going to be by a certain date but 8 days of delivery is very very long would probably use a competitor next time

the gloves are very well made. I have all the gloves xxl but these run a little smaller and are tight. The leather on the gloves could be a little softer or some stretchy panels.

Very well made, very protective.
My usual large, is a XL in these gloves which means the width is on, but finger lengths increase, which is slightly too long on the little fingers, but wear might improve or become unnoticeable.

Perfect fit, well made quality glove in keeping with the Rev'it reputation. Size quite accurate. Velcro wrist fastening ensures a snug fit at rist. These gloves fit easily under my textile jacket. Really pleased with these and the first class service from Sportsbikeshop.

Best gloves I have had in many years. I ride in summer gloves all year round and these are so comfortable. Make sure you follow the sizing guide, I usually have a L but for these its a 2XL. Fit is superb, quality is second to none. The ordering process through SBS was so easy and the product arrived less than 24h later, great service.

Very comfortable fit, superb quality. Make sure you get the right size and you won't look back!!!

First of all the good points:

They look great, they are very sturdy and well constructed and the airflow through the glove make it the perfect summer riding glove.

The bad points: sizing is inconsistent across the brand. The whole reason I chose these gloves is that I already have a pair of Rev'it gloves in size XL - they fit perfectly. These gloves in the same size came up far too small, despite the size chart even confirming the XL should be the right size, so they had to be exchanged for XXL - kudos once again to SportsBikeShop for quickly sorting this out for me.

Also, the external armour is baldy designed. Rather than using hard shell, form fitting armour for the knuckles they've used a soft silicone rubber - on the outside it feels great and I have no qualms about its protective ability. However, that silicone rubber, when your hands are gripping the bars is forced to stretch over your knuckles and it creates a very uncomfortable pressure point.

Similarly, the stand-out on the exterior of the thumb just rubs and creates another uncomfortable spot close to the base of the joint.

It's not until I tried them on the bike that this became apparent, just slipping them on for size isn't enough to know that the armour would be an issue - a valuable lesson learned if £85 too late.

For looks, build quality and airflow they score top marks but they're badly let down by inconsistent sizing across the brand and awful ergonomics.

Upgraded from my Sand 3 gloves which have been superb and the fit of the Sand 4 is equally comfortable. Usual quality from Rev It A+. Im going to buy another pair in a different colour.
