These cotton reels mount directly into the specific points on the rear swingarm, offering the best of both worlds in terms of crash protection and functionality in both crash protection to components located to the rear, as well as the ability to lift up the bike with a paddock stand for maintenance. Specially designed for the Kawasaki Ninja 250/400 '18- & Z400/Z250 '19- , they are designed to be slightly smaller than a standard "cotton reel" to enable them to pass the OE exhaust, which, under extreme riding condition, might impact with a standardly sized cotton reel.
