- Fatigue often starts with a lack of attention and feeling fidgety leading to extended periods of poor concentration and poor decision making - all pretty dangerous when you're riding at speed
- Just getting off the bike, stretching your legs or having a drink now and again helps regain concentration levels
- Getting off the bike allows the blood to recirculate (which may have slowed during longer periods of riding) and gives you a chance to re-hydrate and prevents muscle fatigue
