These are great panniers at a great price. I have bought Givi carry straps which look great on these panniers. Ready for my Picos tour in a few weeks time.
Why would you pay for for the same boxes with a metal bar on the top.

Sportsbikeshop perfect as always, next day fuss free delivery. My gripe is with Givi. The panniers are excellent but came with no instructions. Inside there are 2 bags of parts with washers and spacers but no indication of where they go. They do in fact have to be attached to the PLR frames as top and bottom spacers and it is only after they have been fitted and removed several times that I worked this out. The hanging brackets needed to be fitted to the forward screws (BMW R1200GS 2014) otherwise it slips off the frames. Had there been instructions in the panniers Givi would have got 5 stars. In summary Sportsbikeshop 5 stars - Panniers 5 stars - Givi 4 stars.

Well made quality panniers that look like they'll last,only down side is the nuts on the bottom on the inside which could cause damage to cans etc (go to add foam to solve issue) great service as always from SBS

Strong, sturdy panniers

The panniers seems well made with a substantial locking mechanism. Very easy to put on and take off. The rack has a rubber bung (Yamaha T7) that is very close to the exhaust end can, not sure if thats going to be a problem.

The Givi Alaska boxes are a fantastic addition to my adventure bike and the build quality is what you expect from Givi
They come with all hardware to modify the frames.
Sportsbikeshop also quick delivery, with me next day and can't fault the service they offer

As expected from Givi, fab product, shocking instructions...
Paniers feel robust and despite faffing with the frames to get the panniers to fit once sorted sorted they look good on a GS.
Would recommend whist still discounted.
Rapid delivery (once in stock) from SBS.

Having looked at many different types of the givi panniers I opted for the Alaska's as they have got many interchangeable parts if your unlucky enough to break something, also as a bonus they give you a spare lock for your top box which means you only have one key for all three, the only niggle, if you can call it that is you have to fit o few things on your racks before you can put them on your bike, its not hard just fiddley

Fitted mine with quick release mounts to my R1250GS.
Echo the comments by Richard about not being able to open left hand pannier without using tilt mechanism as it would hit grab rail.
I'm using with the large plastic Trekker 52 topbox and the clever tilt mechanism allows clearance to open both panniers Not actually toured with them yet but quality and finish seem very good. Price and service from SBS as always, excellent.

The panniers seem nicely made but I'd an awful time attaching the mounts to my BMW F750GS. The hook system prevents the panniers clipping onto the mounts so I had to leave them off. That feature was one of the reasons I bought these panniers.

Bought these with PLR5108 frame for my 2019 R1250GS.
The panniers are well-designed and they fit well on the frames. However, on my bike, the frames don't actually allow the left-hand pannier to open - without using the tilt/hook arrangement.
Other than that, I'm happy with them.

The Givi Monokey Trekker Alaska 36 litre side cases with a natural aluminium finish are equipped with matching lock cylinders plus a third matching lock cylinder to install a separate top-case if required. Equipped with the Monokey fitting system, with a single lock that uses the same key to open the case and to detach it from the frame. Compatible with the tubular side-case holders PL, PLR, PLO and PLOR. The aluminium Givi Trekker Alaska side cases are entirely Made in Italy, from an original and patented design. The cases are detached from the side frame by turning an external knob that is equipped with a cable system (patent pending), placed directly under the Security Lock. It is not necessary to turn the knob to attach the cases. The Trekker Alaska also has a hook system (patent pending) allowing it to be tilted without releasing it completely from the frame. This mechanical system has been specifically designed to prevent the cases from being accidentally dropped and to facilitate loading and unloading even if there is a bulky central top-case, which could make it difficult to access and open the lid. The strength and structure of the hinge allow the lid to be opened completely, without the use of straps or retention cables which could produce a "guillotine" effect.
