The Metzeler MC 360 Mid-Hard tyre is the perfect choice for medium and hard terrains and features a higher land/sea ratio than the mid-soft variant to ensure an adequate footprint for maximum adhesion. Its unique characteristic is the CKB (Continuous Knob Binding) design that is a layer of rubber surrounding every knob to maximize the tearing and wearing resistance of knobs and the versatility of use on all terrains. The rear mid-hard also has five rows of knobs; the centre wide ones are equally spaced aligned with diamond-shaped knobs on the shoulders. The overall tread pattern is more dense than the mid-soft to ensure the adequate footprint by a higher land/sea ratio for maximum traction. On the shoulder area, the diamond-shaped knobs help both traction and cornering grip.
Metzeler MC 360 tyres are dedicated to motocross, supercross, non-FIM enduro and freestyle racers providing maximum performance in any possible racing condition. These versatile, strong and durable tyres reduce the tuning effort on the motorcycle by lowering the number of parameters to be tuned-up. Training with the same high-performance tyre used for the race increase the confidence, ability and the possibility to finally win. Amateur racers will appreciate the plug-and-play aspect to perform at their top with very few vehicle adjustments and an easy-to-use and always under-control tyre. Cross-country racers riding both motocross and enduro motorcycles will find in the MC 360 tyres both motocross performance and enduro versatility and durability.
All MC 360 tyres have a reversible tread pattern to prolong tyres life and give the possibility of reversing the block's angle of incidence when needed to maximize traction from one round to another. The centre knobs are very wide and thick to gain consistency and durability. The structure has a high module, low shrinkage tri-ply made of strong and impact-resistant fibre. The polymers and ingredients used to develop the Metzeler MC 360 compound are focused to increase the knob's stiffness for high-level dynamic performances and to maximum resistance to heating and dynamic stress, to ensure a constant performance through the tyre life. The new compounds were developed to deliver durability, tearing, cut and puncture resistance, capitalising on Metzeler's expertise in racing Enduro. The compounds are 100% carbon black with a blend of both synthetic and natural rubber, providing high tearing resistance and durability.
All tyres in the Metzeler MC 360 range are street-legal for dimensional and integrity requirements. Using legal on-road fitments enable them to go back and forth to the track/training ground, or simply the wood close to home.
Whilst the production of Metzeler tyres began in 1892, the company goes back even further. Founded by Robert Friedrich Metzeler in 1863, the company began with the manufacture of weatherproof clothing and sports equipment, amongst other items. Since 1979, however, Metzeler have focused almost entirely on motorcycle tyres and now produce one of the most comprehensive ranges of bike tyres on the market. Although acquired by Pirelli in 1986, Metzeler remain both independent and highly focused in their mission to meet the needs and expectations of todays motorcyclist. To help achieve this end, they're proud to say that the majority of Metzeler staff are bikers, which can only be a good thing!
