Not the best usb charger

I have purchased many products from sportbikeshop over the years, and have always been very pleased, as with this charger given excellent service. This usb charger, however is poor quality for the price, very fiddly to mount on bars (loads of rubber packing to hold in place while you tighten a very flimsy clamp) the clamp uses a small screw with a plastic head, I found tightening very difficult and risk of stripping thread, Kit is supplied with a spare, For me a stronger clamp is required with an Allen screw with a bigger diameter, this would make a more secure mount.

Constant Battery Drain

Seems rugged & well made.
Downside is that there is a light that is permanently on when attached to a battery, so an in line switch or wiring into a switched live is needed.

Just fitted to bike which was easy enough, (I did cut the wires to fit onto an existing loom) fitting to the handle bar was easy and it works fine. It is cheap and the quality reflects this but it does the job so I'm happy

Handy kit

Good bit of kit, however i wired it through the ignition, not direct to the battery,so there would be no battery drain over a long time standing.
But other than that works well and well made and easy to install.

The kit seems well made and it was easy enough to connect but I did have an issue with the mounting bracket snapping. Thankfully sports bike shop sent me a replacement kit and I returned the old bracket with the new kit to save stripping the wiring back out just because the bracket was broken.

Like others have mentioned the pointless continously on light is annoying but doesn't seem to drain the battery

Excellent for price. Only complaint is that it is wired direct to battery and has annoying blue light on constant when in use however it is covered with good fitting rubber cap when not being used. Excellent service from SportsBikeShop as always.

Expensive compared with Ebay jobbies but seems well made.
My only gripe is that if you connect it directly to the battery with the leads provided the blue LED light is permanently on. Probably uses very little power though.

Searchrd the web for waterproof dual usb socket didn't want a cheap Chinese one that will fall apart in three weeks and didn't want to pay over the odds for one . This one easy to mount and wired into my BMW s1000r auxiliary skt so comes on with ignition up till now 5 out of 5

This is the second time I bought this charger for my other bike. Great value and easy to install. Looks nice and neat on the handlebar, almost like it came from the factory on the bike like this.
