Givi GRT709 Canyon Waterproof Pannier 35 Litre

These bags are excellent quality kit. Only 4 stars due to the price. I paid £495, I reckon, if you can get them for £100 or so less, you've got a bargain.
These bags are bigger than I expected, they're more practical than the hard luggage specially if you have odd shaped stuff. 35ltrs in each bag is a conservative estimate (and that can be stretched a bit) is good enough for long trips, I'm planning 2 weeks away. I checked out a few review videos before buying and the comments were favourable. Removable, waterproof inner bags are excellent. The extra bottle holder on the rear side, is a great feature. Time will tell for wear and tear.
The only downside is security. Best not keep the family jewels in them!

These soft side panniers arrived quickly from sportsbikeshop. They look really well made, sturdy and I love the thick inner waterproof liners. The bonus is that they open from the top unlike some hard cases which are side opening and things need to be packed so that they don't fall out. Less bulky than hard cases and easier to get your leg over to mount the bike. No throw over straps mean I can lift the pannier seat to refuel (NC750X) Not used them on the bike yet but I'm confident they will perform well.

This review a little premature as these not yet fitted. Chosen against hard panniers due to weight (and cost) saving. These are also a narrower option than the aluminium versions - a must if traffic weaving on a regular basis. On inspection they appear to be up to the job. Substantially built and very roomy. Look a bit fiddly to access particularly in a downpour but thats acceptable given access would be minimal. Very happy with the quality and size but time will tell on how practical they turn out to be. Great price and service yet again from this supplier. Very happy.
