I'd recently changed my standard Dot 4 brake fluid with Motul - RBF 600 Factory Line to get more temperature tolerance. As my clutch was also due for a fluid I wanted a compatible fluid from the same brand. Motul Dot 5.1 is Dot 4 compatible (like any other dot 5.1), with added high-temperature resilience. I topped up my front brake with Motul Dot 5.1 and completely bled my clutch. My shifting is much better now (not necessarily credit to this fluid), but I'm happy with my purchase.
Don't confuse Dot 5 with Dot 5.1 though. Dot 5.1 is compatible with Dot 4, but Dot 5 is NOT. Overall good value for money and SBS delivered within reasonable time and price. The box was amazingly large, for a small container, but that's fine.

November 6, 2013The Dot 5.1 brake fluid should be ok for your clutch but we would always advise consulting either an owner s manual or an Aprilia technician prior to ordering.
