Replaced the seals on my XJ6 forks and used this oil. In absence of an actual weight to use from Yamaha I went with the 5. Feels perfect so far. Just enough in the bottle to do both forks and easy to pour. I'll use this oil again next time. The increments on the side of the bottle could be more precise and make less sense at the bottom but easily remedied using a jug. The oil isn't very sticky so it pours well from a jug. Good product.

Excellent product as always from Motul. Used in ST1100 forks and has given them a nice plushy feel to the front end. Always try to use Motul due to the quality and longevity of their oils.

Fork Oil Expert is Technosynthese (semi-synthetic), hydraulic fluids for any type of telescopic Forks. Four viscosities: Light, Medium, Medium-Heavy, Heavy. Contains an Anti-friction additive specially developed by Motul, making easier sliding, avoiding drag in the fork.
Stable absorbing in an extended range of temperature, thanks to the base stocks. Protection of seals : excellent oil / elastomer compatibility. Anti wear, anti corrosion, anti foaming. Motul Fork Oil Expert can be mixed to obtain the required absorbing. Use the exact quantity recommended by the fork manufacturer.
