Noticeable improvement

I used Silkolene fork oil recently when I fitted new fork seals and it transform the feel of the frontend and handling. Being impressed I thought I'd try their engine oil on the next change. Clearly noticeable improvement when the engine is hot and you've come into heavy traffic, princibly with clutch fade and gear changing.

Correct Grade - Quality Oil

I've ran my bike (Honda 600) on other 'popular' 10w-40w semi synth oils with no issues (or so i thought).
After checking the owners manual I noticed that it specifies an 'API' rating for the type of oil to use. This oil includes the 'SF', 'SG' rating recommended by my manual.
The bike has never ran as quiet, even after a fresh change on other oils.
Now, I don't know if it is because of it being the correct API or just the quality of the brand? Either way it seems fab to me and is the exact spec laid out in the manual. Annoyed with myself for not having checked this in the past.

Questions and Answers
I have a Kawasaki Z1000SX, sports tourer 2016. My riding is more sports than touring, so what's the best option for me? Semi or full synthetic? Seems I have a few options, hence my question. Thanks and regards Colin
December 12, 2017Silkolene recommend either Comp 4 or Super 4 10W40, your bike will be fine on either.
