SW Motech Black Crash Bars - KTM 1290 Super Duke R / GT

The quality of the crash bars were fabulous. They fit and complimented the bike perfectly. he instructions were informative and easy to follow. Great product.

i would of given a 5 rating for the sw-motech crash bars dont get me wrong they are a great product and look like they will do the job they are intended for very well
my only small gripe is the fitting of the off-side bars if you are doing this job by yourself i would suggest draining the coolant out and removing the rad hose it was a real fiddle fitting it with the hose in place it says grease the spacing washers and place over the intended hole for the bolt
thats all well and good but one knock as you're trying to line the bracket of the bars up with the hole and the spacer is off and on the floor covered in dust grit etc so after many attempts and a lot of swearing and finally getting the bolts through the bracket on the bars into the spacer and getting 2 turns of thread on the bolt to hold it in place bearing in mind there are 3 spacers on the off side set of bars i found that i had to crush the rad hose to be able to locate the socket square onto the bolt head anyway i finished the job eventually and i thought they gave a nice look to the ktm and peace of mind that if i go down the road side ways again there is some good protection there
