Gerbing Portable Digital Temperature Controller

The controller allows temperature adjustment of my heated vest otherwise it would be too hot. It's accessibility was a problem when riding so I fitted a seperate bluetooth controller near the winscreen. This is available on the SBS website. The main issue that I have had is the jackplug connectors from the battery to the vest occasionally and annoyingly become disconnected when I put my foot down at roundabouts, traffic lights etc. Otherwise an excellent product

Used with the Gerbing heated vest - without it, the vest would be uncomfortably hot. It provides control from setting 1 to 5 - I've never needed more than level 3, but then I'm not proper nesh! Well worth it.

I replaced the single controller with this one so I could use my gerbing heated gloves and it works well. What I wasn't expecting was the increased heat of the jacket. This controller uses 1-5 and I ended up with it on level 1 on a recent ride where as my old controller would have been on green from levels - blue, green, amber.

The product is good, be nice to have a separate lead to plugin the gloves. I have heated grips so don't always need it, so have tie wrapped it to the main lead to stop it flapping. The instruction that come with it are limited. It doesn't tell you why it would stop working. If the Led flashes it means you are drawing more power than the bike will give.
My only real grip is that they should tell you that you need this when you buy the jacket. That is the manufacturer and sportsbikeshop.

This is our go to shop to buy stuff for our bikes. Online ordering and trying on in store is so useful. This product was bought with a heated jacket. Great team in Reading :)

First of all Gerbing should sell this as part of the jacket it's impossible to use the jacket without any way to regulate the heat so it's bad that Gerbing make it a separate product.

It works but it's badly designed.

The power leads are way too long and unless you cable tie them up they get in the way. This means a lot of bulky unnecessary cables on the bike. The actual controller is hard to use on the bike (Keis is much better) and the display showing the heat setting is very hard to see. It's a red digital number at the top of the controller but it's not very bright and in anything other than darkness or a dull day it's hard / almost impossible to see. The cable used is also very rigid and doesn't flex well.

It is essential to have this so you can control your heat. Shame it's not supplied with the jacket. 5 heat settings fits in a pocket on the jacket. Easy pairing with the other remote digital controller.

Works well and gives good temp control

This is a must have for the heated liner, it controls the temperature without over heating. Gloves can be added too. The gloves I attached already have a temperature control on them so they can be set to a different temperature to the jacket.

When used in conjunction with the Gerbing heated jacket liner its a must, otherwise you will overheat, makes the temperature very controllable. Build quality is good.

Priceless gear , however the build quality isn't sufficient enough and the wiring has not come loose so the controller regularly resets itself.

to be honest if I could redo my heated gear purchases , I'd go with RST

This item randomly powers down which started at about 2 months old. I'm very confident the supplier will quickly replace it but it dents your confidence in the product

If your buying gerbing product then a controller is essential or you will get too hot

I purchased the microwirepro XR gloves and jacket and this controller is exactly what it needs to be. The display is easy to read once on. The button changes settings easy. It doesn't change unexpectedly from bumping my pocket where it lives either. Good kit.

I think this should come with the jacket and not be a extra. Simple to use.
