Verified Customer Reviews for BikeTek Front Head Stand
Our customers say…
Customers have mixed reviews about the stand. Many find it sturdy and functional once assembled, though it often lacks detailed instructions. While it performs well in supporting and lifting various bikes securely, some customers had to purchase additional pins to fit specific models. The quality generally seems good despite some concerns about the welding. Overall, it's an effective tool for bike maintenance and track use, highly recommended for its price and versatility.

Reasonably priced but more than reasonably sturdy

This stand is really good for the price. Stands at this price point can sometimes be a bit bendier than you'd like. This one is sturdy, easy to use and comes with a set of different sized pins to fit a range of bikes, overall, no complaints!

Well constructed piece of kit
19 August 2024 by Jez C
The BikeTek headstand is a great addition to anyone who works on their bike. It comes ready for assembly which takes less than five minutes and is sturdily made. It comes complete with a range of different sized pins to suit many different bikes however reading other people's reviews, it seems that most people have to buy additional pins for their steeds (I did) as the sizes included are somewhat obscure. Perhaps BikeTek could review the included pins and offer more common sized pins in their stead ?
On the whole, a worthy addition to any bike oriented workshop and well priced to boot and still less expensive even after buying an additional pin for your bike than other manufacturers' stands.

Usually buy Oxford products, but price was too good plus reviews were fair enough. Also I could send it back was quite pleased when arrived to fit Yamaha MT07 had get oversized peg 21 mm was the nearest size but added a washer as insert was 22 mm now fits well makes cleaning and repairing a breeze.

Good but didn't fit

The stand is well made and would be great but it wasn't tall enough to raise the front wheel off the ground on either of my bikes. One modern, one classic, both 19 inch front wheels. Would be useful to have some sort of measurement to check this prior to purchase.

Solid & reliable
03 June 2024 by Steve W
My old front end stand was the basic type that locates with a nub in the end of each fork. Never really seemed stable when working on the bike. The BikeTek head stand is a vast improvement. The lifted bike is absolutely solid, I can confidently pull hard on a spanner without fearing the whole thing will come crashing down. Also the added bonus of being able to remove forks for servicing. Wish I'd bought the proper stand years ago.
Slight problem that if my bikes (Tiger 1050 & MT09) were lifted on a rear paddock stand, the BikeTek head stand couldn't quite clear the front tyres off the ground. I found that an 18mm plank under each side was enough to fix this. Another option would be to replace the 80mm wheels with 120mm ones, cheaply available on ebay.
Because I have the skills & equipment, I cut the lower frame and welded in a sleeve for 25mm of additional height. Incidentally I disagree with other reviewers who feel the tube isn't sturdy enough - a pair of 32x1.5mm ERW mild steel tubes under near-vertical compression load should hold 1,000kg - this stand is very solidly built.
PS - Slightly frustrating that I needed to buy two additional pins because the set provided were all too small for my bikes. Would be nice if there was an option to select the pins in a dropdown list.

Great product.

Solid in use and easily assembled. Fitted my GPz900R with the 17mm pin provided. I have no issues with the quality as it looks fit for purpose and well made. I did have an issue with the first item delivered as half of it was missing and no fittings in the box. This was quickly sorted out by online customer services and the second one delivered the day after was perfect. Very pleased all round thanks.

Solid piece of equipment. Easy to assemble. Does the job well.
Down side, only just fits under the fairing of my GSXS so have to be really careful when placing it.

Easy to use
02 December 2023 by Mr G
The stand is made of relatively narrow tubes which don't inspire confidence, and the welding appears pretty poor, but in use the stand works well and is relatively easy to use. With my bike up on the stand it feels quite stable. It doesn't come with any assembly or safety instructions but is easy to put together. However I would have thought safety instructions would have been essential for this type of product.
