Givi M9B top plate.

Purchased the Givi M9B monokey top plate to replace an old plastic top plate which was showing signs of wear on the rear mounting post after about nearly 12years of use on various bikes with various top boxs. Last trip I hit a pothole and box flew off, luckily no one behind, hence the change and this time went for the metal unit which is very well made, sturdy and strong .
Would recommend that everyone periodically checks their top plates, particularly the slot in the rear mounting post and to change plates if the slot is at all showing signs of distortion or wear.
The givi M9B plate is an expensive plate compared to the plastic ones available but I feel is well worth the extra cost.
Black paint might scratch over time though this a very minor point. All in all, a good purchase.

Fitted to the Givi 1179FZ rear rack for a standard africa twin CRF1100. Nice and straight forward. Had to slam the top case onto it a few times to get it to hold. Once the rubber feet got a bit soft trekker outback case fits with no issues.

I have not fitted a box on it yet as I bought it so I can have somewhere to tie my soft luggage. But the M9 looks good, feels solid and is so easy to fit. Quality stuff from Givi as expected.
