Overpriced Necessity

I had to buy this to fit my V47 top case on my rack and although it's only a pressed sheet aluminium it's expensive. I knocked a star off due to its price. Then in order to fit this to my BMWC400GT I had to buy another adapter from Italy. That was about £50 and was two sheets of stamped mild steel weighing 2kg. I returned that and made one out of 10mm plywood. In the end my V47 looks good and makes carrying stuff far more realistic.

Great piece of kit from Givi but disappointed that all items needed to mount the plate don't come together. You will need support bracket set specific to your bike in order to fit it and it's an additional cost.
The plate itself is great quality and SBS provided a great service. Although I have to say I requested delivery on a Friday due to my availability and it arrived on the Wednesday before I have to ask what is the point of providing the option when ordering if it's going to be ignored.

Rock solid top plate, inspires confidence when a loaded top box is fitted , SBS sell this at a very good price. Excellent givi quality. Should last years, would recommend.
