Kovix KOL Brake Lever Lock

The basic product is worth at least 4*,but is marked down for poor quality control. As others have noted, the rubber protectors are not remotely stuck to the alarm - you have to do that (use superglue - other glues do not work). Secondly, the screws for the holder are not right (different lengths). Third there's no carrying bag for those who don't want to use a holder on already crowded bars. All fixable, so please do so Kovix.

Wanted another lock and preferably with an alarm and was pleasantly surprised at how substantial it was

The lock is really easy to use and fits nicely under the seat for storage. It also comes with a handle bar mount if you prefer to store it there. It's very sensitive to tampering and incredible loud when it goes off, so really a great deterrent. It's a big heavy lump of steel too, so very sturdy. Only issue I have with it is that the rubber inserts are constantly falling out, which is a little bit of a nuisance. Overall a great lock.

Very well made bit of kit. The alarm is very loud, only down side is the rubber inserts tend to fall out. This was sorted by using double sided tape to hold in place. Would deffo recommend.

Great seeing this company move into Glasgow as it's been the best sportsbikeshop I would say in the UK for customer service and variety of products the lock break I purchased is definitely one of the best in the market

Well-functioning first line of defence vs thieves, i use this, disc lock and chain as deterrent: all quite compact.

Seen a lot of complaints about having to glue the rubber cushioning but for me it wasn't really a big drama: apply glue; allow to dry; use lock as described

Super loud. Still startles me when i set it. Battery replacement easy.

Buy it! It's brilliant, and works even if you have handguards fitted.

Very loud and you can store it on the handlebars with the supplied bracket.

Battery is Lithium and not rechargeable but that's OK, it does the job well enough.

Very good quality, light and alarm is piercingly loud. Easy to set up and fit. Great bit of kit. Red colour is very prominent.

I bought this lock for additional security, but mainly for the alarm function. meaning that I had an alarm on the bike when left that any unsavory would have to deal with both the brake lock and disc lock simultaniously.
It is easy to use, and generally well built. The only point stopping 5* is the rubber protection to the grip and lever positions are not glued in and therefore easily become detached. So you have to take care when fitting and removing.

Easy to use, the alarm is loud. The only thing that stopped a 5* is the rubber inserts are not fixed in place, resulting in the loss of one.

The lock seems well built and good quality. And comes with 3 keys which was a nice touch.
It also comes with a plastic bracket that you can fit to your bike that holds and stores the lock when not in use. Another nice touch although the lock does rattle a bit as its a bit lose on the storage bracket.
I have grip puppies on my bike and it fits well even with grip puppies. And it also fits as good on my daughters CB125. So I'm very happy with my purchase.
I didn't understand why the red one was a lot cheaper than the blue one. If anything red stands out more when on the bike so can be spotted a lot easier. All in all a good buy at a fair price for the red lock

Ordered red one, then told out of stock. When arrived it had parts missing, screws, instructions, so returned. Blue replacement sent quickly but had to glue rubber inserts in place as they easily fell out when using lock.

I had to wait for SBS to re-stock for this lock. The rubber protective inserts fall out easily so I have glued them into place. This is a sturdy brake lock with an alarm. I'm not sure how the helmet cable works in conjunction with its main function. But I have no doubt it is a robust deterrent against the opportunist thief.

Love this, easy to use, great for if your jumping in somewhere quick. Very loud and great for use later along with other security products when parked for the night or along with disc lock when parked for a length of time. Solid construction and as I say very loud. Gives a warning beep or three then if bikes moved again emits a loud burst, defo brings attention
