I can see clearly now

Last visor got damaged by the biggest Spanish flying bug I have ever seen. Ordered the Mellow smoke, which is road legal but just a bit darker than the clear. Great visor as expected from a genuine product. As always, SBS turned the order around on the same day and I received next day, excellent service.

Simple replacement of the standard visor with one that is a little darker, but not too dark. Looks good and I can see my dials clearly once more without having to tilt my head at a peculiar angle.

Good but not cheap

Well it's just a nice new clean visor to replace the old one that got scraped.
In one sense it's perfect.
However it's a Lot of Money for a piece of perspex!!
And Shoei are undoubtedly exploiting a perfect monopoly situation by their pricing.
And you don't even get a replacement fog insert.
So I'm not really very impressed.
And by the way Sportsbikeshop..
That's about as 'constructive' as I can get on this product.
And frankly it's no help at all to prospective buyers who actually have No Choice At All. Except for finding the cheapest price available for the same item!

Being an original Shoei visor, fitment and seal with the visor fully closed are spot on. Road legal light smoke tint is ideal for daylight use (except for low sun) and even has decent light transmission when riding at night. I also use an aftermarket full smoke visor riding in low sun but you can tell the improved quality of the Shoei. Sportsbikeshop highly recommended.
