Oxford M2R Lifetime Mini Tank Bag - Black

I know this bag has gotten some flack for its small display pouch, BUT: if you don't want to use the bag to hold your phone/nav (which requires looking down so not great anyway), it's actually pretty perfect. You can fit most everyday stuff in there, the small zip at the front is great for ear plugs/keys etc, the four magnets are strong and it doesn't get in the way of anything. I combined it with a small tail bag and phone holder on the handlebars and it's perfect on my cb500f.

Very handy bag for day trips when you don't want to load up the tail bag.

Ideal for keeping essentials, glasses, wipes, wallet etc. Well made, sturdy materials zips etc.
However my phone will not fit under the plastic window, though maybe a sat nav might. Also no rain cover. A shower cap will do the job but a bespoke cover would be much better.

Perfect little size and just what I needed for my trip through Europe. Unfortunately, it didn't work that great on the tank of my Honda Rebel. Mainly due to the contents trying to make a break for it every time I opened the bag. Having just one zip meant that I had to fully open the bag to get to stuff and as it was at an angle gravity took over and things fell out if I wasn't very careful. Otherwise it was a good bag. It kept my stuff dry when going through a short downpour (20 mins or so of proper rain). The little hole for poking through cables was useful when charging bits in the bag. The little window was useful when I needed the reference for the train. It meant I didn't have to go looking for it. The magnets kept the bag in place. Overall it's a good bag.

Perfect size for my tank. Magnets are strong. Larger than I thought it was going to be. But a good size. Good quality.

I wanted a small tank bag because a)the top of the bike's tank is narrow, and b)I didn't want to carry more than a bottle of water and bits. This does the job perfectly. It looks good, seems well-made and works perfectly.

Was looking for a small magnetic tank bag for my Triumph Bonneville T120. The tank on the bike is an awkward shape with the filler to one side.

The Oxford tank bag is exactly what I wanted. It is small and fits the tank well. It doesn't obscure my vision and I hardly know it is there. It easily holds a disklock, mobile and keys with plenty of space spare. Magnets are very strong and hold it in place well.

Great little tank bag at a competitive price. So good that I bought the wife one.

The only downside as I see it is that to remove it from the bike, you need to undo the strap that goes around the headstock as there is no clips to undo.

Proven useful for what I wanted: a small handy tank bag for wallet, a small water bottle, etc., but with a easy to read phone pouch on the top.

Secure, in that the magnets are super strong (works ok on a funny shaped DesertX tank) plus the strap fixes it to the headstock. You can make it QD if you use a carabiner clip or similar. The shade on the top of the phone pouch is a thoughtful addition.

Phone - be aware the pouch is really quite small and literally only just takes my Pixel 6a (152x72mm). Any bigger phone will not fit. Note that the transparent pouch cover for the phone screen does not work the phone touch functions, so you have to remove the phone to do anything to it. Bit of a pain if you use a phone gps for routes.

Downsides - I wish Oxford had made this waterproof. It'll stand a showed no doubt, but not much more and no cover is provided. Also the pouch size and inability to work the phone should be better. Hence 4 stars, not 5. A bit pricey I feel too for what it is, although its competitively priced and even better at the great SBS sale price.

All in all though, good, very useful and I'm glad I bought it.

This Bag is a great little bag fits my Thunderbird Commander & Thruxton 1200 a treat perfect for small items my Garmin Zumo 395 fits perfectly as well and the magnets are quite strong so the bag stays where you put it.

A nice sized bag for day trips or short tour. Stayed firmly in place at motorway speed. The pocket for the sat nav is too small. My iPhone 12 went in but was pretty naff to use.

Well made. Magnets hold the bag well on the tank. Managed to squeeze iPhone into to top pocket for use as a sat nav if necessary. Surprising amount of room for 'stuff' inside. strong zip. Comes with a tether BUT I replaced that with a shorter one as it was way too long (could be cut shorter if required)

This seems like a good quality product for a very reasonable price. It fits tightly and securely to the tank and holds a surprising amount considering its compact dimensions. Ideal for carrying a few items, such as wallet, keys, phone and a disc lock on a days ride.

Good on a cruiser and others to carry essentials plus puncture repair kit.
